Granted I've only been shopping here about 18 months but the quality has gone way, way down in that time. The fruits and vegetables are either empty or just plain gross. Lots of flies flying around the apples and grapefruit. Berries are often moldy in the package. The customer service desk will take them back but doesn't even bother to apologize for your inconvenience.
The associates are often distracted, chatting/gossiping with other coworkers, especially at self checkout and customer service. The people who bring carts (with the neon shirts) are always kind and helpful - definitely a bright spot here!

Will always love wegmans but being watched like a halk at self checkout at 11am this morning by an older white lady with glasses and white short hair. Absolutely not, it’s unacceptable to even occur in 2024. Today I let it go but if it occurs in store again a manager will be hearing my complaint along with corporate!

I don’t usually leave bad reviews but this I felt was needed. I’ve been shopping at Wegman’s (Midlothian location) for years. Today at the self checkout I was constantly being monitored by 2 employees which made my shopping experience very awkward. Upon checking out I noticed none of the other shoppers were being watched in the same manner I’d been. I don’t want speculate that it was racism or stereotypical. Although, it sure felt like it. It’s unfortunate that we still have these encounters in 2024.

This grocery store has a nice craft beer selection. The self serve check out machines are credit card/debit card only. The same machines do not dispense cash either. Generally speaking there are no baggers either.
