My Subaru Forester was hit on the driver side rear fender. I took it to Hyman Bros Collision. They had it for 8 weeks and did not return calls when they said they would. I was concerned as I had not heard from them for several weeks. I went by to make sure it was still there. I was assured it would be clean when finished. It was very gritty when I picked it up. They replaced the rear sensor on the dented side. My car now beeps that I am close to an object but there is nothing there. The manager _ Mr. Tharpe arranged for me to have it calibrated at the dealer across the street. This was in June. It still beeps when there is nothing there rendering the alert system totally useless. The customer service is terrible. I called to get an update as 8 weeks is a long time and the phone was not answered most of the time and when I did get someone they said they would check on the progress and call me back which they never did. I am very dissappointed in their service. I must say the outside body work looks nice but the sensor still does not work.

DON'T buy any Subarus from this company. They made it sound like they were going to sell me a car, then offered a make and color I never wanted, then even said I couldn't lease to own. Not very professional

Talked to the sales guy and assured me a game plan on getting a couple vehicles and he genuinely tried. But the guy that ran my credit (which is good) pretty much denied me everything and said the kind of income I had (and didn't even mention the extra income I make) wasn't the kind of income he wanted. I never had any problems with getting vehicles with the kind of money I make. (I make money the legal way like everyone else)

I can't speak for the service here at Hyman Bros Subaru. I see many yelpers are very displeased with the service. Sorry to see that... and will keep that in mind. That said, I can speak about the sales department... and that's where they get an impressive 4 stars on the yelp scale. I recently went in with my wife for a test drive. We were greeted upon our arrival in a courteous and attentive manner. We asked to test-drive a new vehicle and were set up within 5 minutes. We took a long-loop drive and learned about the vehicle along the way from our sales rep. After our questions were answered re: the new Subaru we test drove, we made an offer. The offer was accepted and we closed the transaction the very next day. Easy peazy. That's really how easy business can be done if it's done properly by professionals.We didn't have to spend any time in the waiting area, but it looks nice. Plenty of drinks available. I tried a cappuccino at one point. Nice touch.All the staff were friendly. We didn't detect any dodgy sales practices or obfuscation or any other shenanigans. We can't say the same for some Hyman Bros competitors (especially the terrible Moore Subaru of Richmond)... but hey, bad competitors just means Hyman Bros Subaru will get more business. Good for them.At some point, we'll likely need service. And if it proves to be as hassle-free, courteous, and professional as their sales department, then I'll update this to the elusive yet highly coveted 5-star yelp review.

I ordered a center console armrest from this parts supplier that according to the website was compatible with my specific make, model and trim for my new vehicle. When the part arrived, it was not compatible. After checking the website there was no easy way to return the part. I then called Hyman Bros. parts department to set up a return. Initially, I spoke to a representative who repeatedly insisted I check the part against my VIN (which I already did and according to website it was compatible with my car), but in person I am sure that is not the case. After briefly talking to this individual, I was placed on hold for appx 1 hour until I hung up. I then called right back and spoke to George in the parts department. He seemed to understand the situation, but stated he would have to have the supervisor call me back a few days later when he was available stating they would call the following Monday at a specific time. I never received a call and have essentially given up at this point. I am now stuck with a $200 loss for a part that I have no use for as it does not fit my vehicle.

Out of all the Subaru online orders I’ve placed these guys are on point with it. Free shipping and the best price by a bunch. I went to my local Subaru dealer in fay nc and the parts were going to be about $45 more. Got online and printed out the quote from Hyman Bros and they wouldn’t match jt. Needless to say I’ll be getting all my future parts from Hymansubaru!!!

If you want to experience terrible or should I say no customer service from the service department, this is your place! We dropped our car off for service, never heard back for 2 days. We tried calling, sending messages, left multiple messages to get an update on when we could pick up the car. Finally called the parts department who walked over to check if someone was there and put us through. Our car had been ready for a day and no contact and no explanation as to why. There is another review on here stating the same. We will never bring our car back here, too many other positive experiences elsewhere to deal w a company that can't answer phones or return messages for 2 days.
