This place has went downhill in just 1 year. We stay here before an annual bike race every year. This year there was water damaged window sills, missing curtains, mold in the bathroom and and in general need of maintenance.On the other hand, the staff was fantastic! The lady running breakfast is quite possibly the hardest working person on the planet! She took great care of my boys and demonstrated true concern for everyone's needs. We will go back just because of her.

We were in town for soccer and had a block of rooms reserved. They had us spread out throughout the hotel, defeating the purpose of the block reservation.Staff was nice. Hotel smells like mildew. Our room had a horrible mildew smell, bathroom door was broken and didn’t close, the shower wasn’t cleaned and towels were dirty and HVAC was dirty.

This place was an excellent choice for our stay in Chesterfield. Been here almost two weeks on a small project and I've never felt more at home. Thank you to the staff, very friendly. And the pancakes were awesome!

Our reservations were made here because they said they had a room available for my grandmother who is disabled. When we arrived they had given the room to someone else. They said they had only two rooms like this and they clearly lied about one being available when we made our reservations. Absolutely unacceptable behavior.

It seems to be an old place but the staff here is what makes the experience worth the stay with their accommodating reception. No shuttle services so you need a car to experience the shopping across the 8 lane road (no crossing ?).

This is a standard IHG hotel in terms of design, albeit the decor is early 2010. Great and caring staff. But the entire hotel reeks of the smell of wet mold on all floors. I had a room on the third floor, and it stunk like mold when I got into the room... Like the smell of a moldy air conditioner. A very loving and awesome manager told me they had paid a lot of money to get the third floor redone. It's still reeked like a smelly bath towel. I was moved to the fourth floor. The stench was not so evident in the halls, however, my room still stinks Like a pair of wet locker room swim trunks.If it wasn't for the fact that I got my room on points, I would've left. Staff is very gracious in compensation, and moved me to the least stinky room as well as provided extra IGH points for compensation without asking. What they should do is basically gut the entire AC system and replace it on all floors. Also, the rooms need to have a revision on the furniture. I am a business traveler and support IHG as well as Marriott Bonvoy. There is value in IHG, unfortunately this place smells like a wet towel left in a hamper for a week. If you need a bed, this is the place however, I am struggling to go to sleep in a smelly room. Spend the money to gut the building or replace every AC with new ones/ flush the systems. The smell of wet mold is overpowering.

I recently stayed here at this location. The location is excellent and is close to several restaurants and stores. The downside was the room. I am unsure what was going on, but my allergies were horrible while in the room. Every time I showered, I started sneezing, and my nose ran. The bed was damp even though it was not wet (the room was humid). For the service, the front desk was professional and explained everything thoroughly. The only thing I was taken aback by was housekeeping, which only does full service by request. When housekeeping cleaned our room, it was great, except for our last and one other night.Rooms: The rooms had a damp and humid feel to them.Food & drinks: The hotel is near several food places

Clean rooms. Quiet location. The best part was the people working there, all very kind and patient. The breakfast wasn't bad for this kind of place either.

The rooms were in disrepair, moldy, stained carpeting, foul orders, and needs updating. I would not recommend. Location was the only plus- plenty of decent restaurants and amenities near by. We stayed 3 nights, each day our bath towels were taken away but never replaced. We had to go to get new towels each time.

1.5-2 stars for the room (2 queen bed standard). it smelled unbelievably musty and like damp dog. We had to spray febreeze to make it tolerable on all the fabrics. Might have been due to rain/humidity but it wasn't in my mom or sisters room on other side of hallway (they were in king exec suites which seemed updated). Our room felt humid/damp all weekend. And Room was very dark even with all lights on felt dark. Furniture looked to be on last legs with wood veneer all torn up at base. Strange hole in ceiling near doors (maybe trying to change wiring?) bed was tolerable but VERY soft (not a lot of support). Place was fully booked due to several local weddings so couldn't change rooms. Some issues with electrical in room, hotel's front door, and in kitchen/breakfast area. They tried to fix. They gave us a blow dryer when in room one wouldn't turn on. 5 out of 5 stars for the staff. front desk staff were very nice and gave us a late checkout. The breakfast waitstaff was amazing. So nice and helpful, clearing plates almost as soon as finished. Very friendly and helpful housekeeping services too. If they fixed rooms some I'd stay again just for staff.

Below standards. My first time in Midlothian. The windows in the room don't open so all you are breathing is dusty air from a dirty old air-conditioning filter. The room could definitely use more cleaning. The hotel needs a massive overhaul. Not worth the price I would stay elsewhere.

Visited New Years. Receptionist was so very kind, I was very pleased. Breakfast was excellent, server was extremely pleasant and helpful, careful to keep everything supplied. Very clean, spacious room, very comfortable bed. Very quiet.
