Boutique style antique mart. The items in here definitely have old overpriced Midlothian prices. Their are some nice pieces in here if you are looking for an odd piece of wooden furniture. There is also a LOT of porcelain and glass pieces in here. There is so much glass in here. Trying to go through this place with a disabled person who needs a cane to walk was very difficult. If you are looking for more retro furniture pieces, toys, or comics, this is not the place for you. This is the place for your great grandparents.

Usually visit this antique mall every couple months. Doesn't matter if I can't find what I collect because their selection is so good I have a good time just looking. They have a little bit of everything and usually very well organized, plus the staff is always friendly and helpful.

I've been in Coalfield Station before today and the only reason I ever go back is because several years ago I bought a reasonably priced Santa that I love. In general though, the vendors of Coalfield Station are on the outrageously expensive side, much higher than other antique malls in the greater Richmond area. Today though, my friend and I got home and felt like we'd been robbed by the place. We both made smallish purchases but when he got home he discovered that a 3% credit card convenience fee had been added on to his bill. At no point had this been mentioned to us, we saw no signs, and shouldn't they let the customers know this in advance ? This 3% is added on to the taxed price. Even worse, when I checked my receipt at home, not only did I have the 3% fee added on, but the $16.38 was charged to my card as $16.83. Do the people at the cash register not know what they are doing ? One woman did seem a bit confused by what she was doing but then she shouldn't be anywhere near a cash register. I've photographed my receipts as proof. I've seen this Convenience fee in restaurants , but they let you know in advance. I would have paid cash instead. Overcharging me when she actually ran the charge through is just incompetence. We hit many thrift, consignment and antique stores today in that area , made many purchases and this is the only place we've both vowed not to return to. If you do go there, check your receipt before you leave the store. In response to the owner. When the woman asked us how we were paying she could have easily mentioned the fee. Neither of us noticed any signs and I doubt most people read the many signs stores post all over. This is the first store I've encountered with the fee, a few restaurants, no stores. He and I made much larger purchases at a nearby consignment store we both love with much better prices and no fees. I will look for the credit on my bill and will be sure to update this review if I ever see it.

I went to Coalfield Station Antiques to buy Fusion Mineral Paint. The gentlemen there were very polite and helpful. I got the paint I needed (good selection) and will return when I have time to browse.
