Communication wasn't the best. I had to send my progressive bifocals back twice. Different techs. used different terminology, which caused a lot of confusion. If I didn't have bifocals I might be more inclined to use them again.

The customer service and eye exam along with the promotion of getting two pair of glasses for the price that I have paid for one pair elsewhere is outstanding. Jay is very knowledgeable about the frames and lenses and he does his job without making you feel like you are being pushed in anyway. He is a great quiet asset to BJ's optical in Midlothian VA.

The salesperson was extremely patient and I never felt rushed to make a selection. Glasses were ready when promised and he took the time to make sure they were adjusted correctly.

Hooray for free sample Saturdays- they are back and better than ever. First time checking out this location and I was impressed with how friendly the employees were. As this is a newer location the aisles are spacious, they layout is functional and the store is sparkling clean!

I had my eyes examined and received a new prescription. After my glasses were made I could not see well. I went back to BJ’s and they said my glasses were not made per my prescription. I had the glasses remade and could still not see well. I went to a different eye doctor for a second opinion and was told that BJ’s eye exam was wrong and they were over correcting my vision. I had my glasses fixed with the prescription from the second doctor and all was good. I wasted a month with BJ’s and had to bear the cost of a second eye exam out of pocket. I would not recommend them for an eye exam.

The first impression is a lasting impression. Ok, so I signed up for my membership online a few evenings ago. And decided today I would go to the store to pick up my actual membership card. Well the door greeter was friendly. Went to member services the cashier I had wasn't that friendly maybe she didn't want to be there. Just my opinion. So I told her what I was trying to do. I stayed that my address was incorrect on my drivers license and gave her my current address. She then hands me my ID and membership cards and I was on my way. Luckily as I was walking to my car I looked at the cards. This idiot yeah I said it had given me the wrong cards. I'm like are you serious. So I turned back around went back in the store. Walked back up to her I forgot what her simple self said something to the effect are you getting a new membership or are you signing up. Whatever it was it was stupid because did she not hear anything I said when I first walked in. So how many other customers are walking around with the WRONG cards? If she doesn't want to do her job let someone else have it. Or she she be more like her coworker who was very pleasant and professional to the customer she was helping. Not everyone needs to work with the public. Those people need to be in the back definitely not at member services or a cashier. Hopefully, the next time I go back I'll have a better experience. If not then I won't be renewing my membership for the next year.

Brand new store opened near the intersection of Hull Street Rd and RT288. The store is clean and well organized. From prepackaged groceries to a fresh bakery and meat department. Like most clubs it is set up for bulk purchases. Stopped by on a Sat afternoon and found the place easier to Maneuver than another club store off of Midlothian Turnpike. Prices are a little higher here in comparison to other clubs but the trade off is you don't have the swarms of people and plenty of parking.
