We were here for an outdoor event. The grounds are very nice as it is right on the James River. The bathroom facilities in the main building were clean.

This is a nice little place for having an outdoor event. My company recently used it for a picnic. It has a nice facility, decent parking (despite the intimidating one way entry way) and the view of the river is excellent. And don't let the entry way sound like a detriment... It's actually pretty impressive and that sight alone makes it a plus.The AL does a good job of keeping it up and you can tell they put a lot of work into it.

Our high school reunion was recently held here and what a great venue for it! Beautiful view of the James River, with two outside pavilions and a building that held more than 100 people with room for tables, chairs, a buffet, display tables, and a stage for music & presentations.In the summer heat, it was challenging for the HVAC to keep the full building cool in the afternoon, but it was not unbearable. By evening, everything was very comfortable.
