Don’t know why this place is rated so low, just went and the staff were quick but kind and comforting and thorough. Much better experience than other emergency rooms and urgent cares I’ve been to

Worst experience at a ER ever. I arrived with an eye injury after being referred by BetterMed. The doctor made the issue worse by leaving the cornea dye strip in my eye then told me there was nothing that he could do. To top the cake I was then charged over $2400 (because the location couldn't figure out how to bill insurance) and sent on my way. Do yourself a favor find a different ER.

Awful experience - SECOND time. 10/10 would NOT recommend. I cannot say enough negative things about this place from walking in, to walking out. The staff were all very impatient and seemed bothered by everything. They had me register via video while actively vomiting - the registration person requested we call back when I’m able to actually speak. Waited for 4 hours for a transport to another hospital when I had a ride. Everything that could go wrong did. I was so dizzy and the staff just left me hooked to an iv with no instructions on how to take my very pregnant self to the bathroom….

On the board is showing 9 minutes waiting time. We are here for 1 hour and a half and still waiting in the waiting room. Thats unbelievable for an emergency room. People can die to time they are waiting. They are taking people who are sicker first ....how they know how much pain you have and whos pain is stronger. Thats crazy...My son is with strong stomach pain and can't hold anymore but have to wait after the people who came after us....because for them probably that is not an emergency. I know I can't change anything with my review but that's unbelievable and if I can avoid places like that I always do.Update - after 6 hours the ambulance took us to the hospital where my son had a emergency surgery. Yes...6 hours and on the board was 9 minutes. Its sad

Took a friend there .She had the flu and pneumonia she keep throwing up. Her oxygen level was below 90 they wanted to send her home. I told them they could not. She could not walk without her oxygen dropping. Around midnight they decide to omit her , she wanted to go to Henrico Doctors’ hospital on Forest Avenue but they took her to henrico Doctors on Param Road.It has been the worst experience she has ever had. The first doctor she saw at that hospital gave her antibiotics knowing her oxygen levels were low. Thank God a new doctor came in the next day told her she wasn’t going anywhere. He put on stronger antibiotic that helped. As for the hospital I wouldn’t take my worst enemy there. She has been the over a week without a shower, sheets changed or given a new grown. They missed a day of medicine. She rang the buzzer because she had had a accident and waited for a nurse to come to the room for forty five minutes. The food is not good. They don’t care. It’s so so that a hospital is like that and because the outside emergency room had a contract doesn’t mean it good. You should have a course to where you go. Calling tomorrow

Took a while to be seen but it was the day after the holidays so understandable. Came in for extraordinary oral pain and staff was very empathetic. Once I was in an exam room I was had a prescription waiting for me and was out the door in 10 minutes.

First time I can say I am disappointed. Went into the ER for MS symptoms and the doctor or nurse put on my record that I was acting strange with anxiety, depression, and headache. I never told them that I was experiencing any headache, anxiety, or depression. I barely got medication while there or any assistance. Fast forward, day 3 since leaving the ER and I am in worse shape than before.

I did not like this place at all. I should have gone to patient first over this place. Then I get a bill for $275.00 after my insurance pays them whatever. I go in feeling real dizzy, headache and confused. The ambulance company suggested going there, I had never heard of them. I was stuck in a room at the end of a hall and no one could even hear me when I yelled for help to get up. They leave you there for an hour without even checking on you. No blood work, nothing. No Covid test or flu test. Give you a bag of fluids and tylenol and send you home to feel bad two more days. The beds are horrible. The side rails kill your arms. An older adult that bruises easily would get hurt on the piddly siderails. You don't feel good and you have to sit there and fill out information on a computer. I wasn't impressed at all with this place. I was all alone and after I got dressed they could care less if you got out ok or not. I would not go back here.

This place is terrible, long wait times even though stated otherwise, the doctors and nurses treated me disrespectful, spoke to me as I was a child being smart, would not email me a doctors note even tho they forgot to give it to me, I live 30 mins away and I am sick and they told me I had to come all the way to the center for a note when it is 33° outside so I am supposed to get sicker because they can't do thier job. Then when I tried to get info to file a complaint nobody would give me the info they all told me they didn't know while laughing at me, and then hung up in my face, this place needs to be shut down they don't care about people they are just there to receive a paycheck.

Despite the staff being required to call the police because of our situation, I’m glad they took care of my friend. He is doing great thanks to the staff here.
