Over 25 years of having Verizon service I never had this experience before. My parents had no right to upgrade their phone because they are not authorized nor do they have my Verizon PIN number to get into my account. Knowing my parents speaks no English this Korean dude takes advantage of them and upgrade their phone when i can get it cheaper ordering online plus decides to add insurance to “My ACCOUNT” without my authorization. If you need to upgrade and couldn’t do it because you are not authorized person in the account this place is the perfect place to get it upgrade and taken advantage of. DO NOT GO TO THIS VERIZON STORE if you do check to see if they added any perks to your lines to get themselves a couple of dollars on their paycheck.

My recent visit to the Tysons Verizon store was an absolute disaster. As a Verizon customer for over 20 years, I cannot believe the terrible service I received. I went in for help with the "green screen" issue on my business account phone, hoping for a quick fix. Instead, the staff completely ignored my problem and tried to upsell me on a new device.
Their blatant disregard for my loyalty and the urgency of my business needs was infuriating. It felt like all they cared about was making a sale rather than actually helping a long-term customer. This experience was beyond disappointing and has made me seriously reconsider my relationship with Verizon. I expected much better treatment and support from a company I have relied on for so long to support my business operations. This is unacceptable!

Johnny and his staff tried hard to help, but their valiant efforts to get my phone functioning failed. After more than a dozen hours of tech support, roughly a half-dozen trips to the store in person, and FIVE WEEKS without phone service after xfering to Verizon as a new customer, I am left with a bricked phone, that's flagged stolen now, so I can't even port it over to another carrier without proving I'm me for 10,000th time.
Avoid this place at all costs, life is too short.
PS: I did as Verizon requested... filled out their form and sent them the email with reference number. They never wrote back so I am dropping my review from 2 to 1 star for faking a follow up in a review response.

Johnny Chau is a Guru on phone activation and setup. He is very nice and always willing to help.
Some background. We have Verizon pre-paid plan and somehow activation has always been cumbersome. When we first transferred from Verizon postpaid to prepaid, it took nearly a whole afternoon to get two lines properly set up and activated. Then, when we bought a new phone for one of the lines, it took 1.5 hours to have to Data and Call work. And, I had to spend another 2 hours with tech support over the phone at home to get the texting work. From those experience, it sounds like prepaid plan need to provision the phone, in addition to register it in Verizon database. Complicated.
Given the past experience, I felt nervous to go to Verizon store and get a new phone for the 2nd line. I was thinking to myself it could be another long night. But to my surprise, it was very fast. Johnny did his magic with his tablet. Then, when I boot up the phone, it went into activation directly. Once it was done, I got call, texting, data all connected properly. No more long phone calls with the tech support.
Thank you, Johnny. You are an expert!

I am leaving this review for Johnny Chau, the assistant manager of the store. I had some issue with my iPhone. And Johnny has been very dedicated in helping me. He is customer-centric and would go the extra miles to help Verizon customers. He ensures every customer feels valued and supported. He, and the team like his, are the reason that I stay with Verizon for 16 years. Thank you, Johnny!

This is a franchise for Verizon not a true Verizon store. Be very aware, they will offer you the most expensive plan and will tell you that the info you were previously offered by the real Verizon is incorrect. We overpaid monthly for two years until we discovered that's what was happening. For savings and honesty go to the nearest Real Verizon store. DO NOT GO HERE.

Unprofessional Management and Unhelpful Staff at Verizon - Tysons Corner
My recent visit to the Verizon store inside the Tysons Corner mall was an incredibly frustrating experience. As a long-time Verizon customer, I was appalled by the lack of customer service and unprofessional behavior from the manager, Johnny Chau.
I arrived needing assistance with my mother's pre-paid Verizon account. Due to a credit card issue, auto-pay had stopped working. I simply needed to update the payment method for her number. Unfortunately, Mr. Chau was dismissive from the start. He interrupted my explanation and insisted on a $30 fee to set up auto-pay, which I did not need.
Despite my repeated attempts to clarify my request, Mr. Chau remained unhelpful and even arrogant. He claimed it was the only solution and offered no alternative for simply updating the payment information. When I requested to speak with another employee, fearing a communication barrier, he asserted his position as manager and ultimately left me with no choice but to leave without resolving the issue.
This wasn't just a one-time occurrence. This is not the first time I've felt mistreated at this particular store. Whether due to personal bias or a lack of proper training, Mr. Chau's behavior falls far short of the standards I expect from Verizon.
My experience highlights the need for Verizon to re-evaluate their customer service practices and employee training, particularly at the Tysons Corner location. It has unfortunately prompted me to consider switching both my credit card and phone service provider.

Came in one day to sign up for a new line. After taking my ID information, he said we just needed to send the old account number and the PIN over text since we did not have it at that moment. I texted the information the same night after they closed, but no one answered for the whole day. I decided to come back in person. The guy in the front with the “manager” name tag gave us an attitude saying we needed all the information again. We explained to him that his employee already had. He said that guy was not there, and to come back if we wanted. His words and actions were so disrespectful and did not even try to help.
Never come back and never sign up for Verizon again.

Verizon has the most unhelpful customer service I've ever experienced. While the products & technology are great, their inability to relate to, and fix human problems makes me want to run away and never give them another dollar.

Ash was amazing. Ash solved a problem and got my service activated in ~10 min which 6+ hours on the phone with Verizon's 800 number couldn't do. Ash even explained to the manager how to solve one of the issues we encountered. I wish I would have gone to Ash first instead of trying to port my number and get VZ service via the VZ website; I could have saved myself a lot of time and frustration.
