“We have been taking our cars to Gary and his team for several years now. They have never failed to provide uncomparable service, with fair and clear rates, as well as detailed descriptions of proposed work. And most importantly they keep track of what our car services our car has had done and what it needs and have always kept an open line of communication via phone text and email.
Here's another small but huge thing for me: a few years back my daughter and I were on vacation and had an issue with my car's starter. We were 4 hours away from Preferred but I called them anyway. I spoke to Todd (a dream!) who quickly diagnosed the issue over the phone. Because they keep such accurate records of our vehicle he was able to tell me when that part had last been addressed and explained why it may have been an issue now. He even offered suggestions for how to find a reputable shops for the repair as well as parameters for a fair pricing.
How is THAT for service?

“County Transmission was referred to us by a friend. My wife has a 69 Camaro that has been sitting because of transmission problems. County rebuilt the 700R4 transmission and took great care of the car. We took it to its first car show in over 9 months, it shifted amazingly. “These guys are very professional, originally went in to get a quote to fix a rear diffuser, put a deposit down, they ordered the part, and got my car fixed within a day after getting said part. Victor, Felipe, and Mario are my go-to guys if anything ever happens to my vehicle from now on. Fair pricing to respectable folks. Best of both worlds in my opinion. The very next week I had received my aftermarket taillights with reflectors and I asked Victor for a quote even tho they don't specialize in custom tail lights and reflectors. Felipe and Mario got right on the job. Got the job done within 3-4 hours of dropping off the car. Amazing work from these guys.”
“The Fairfax Auto Repair staff was very nice, courteous, and helpful, from Rebecca scheduling the service to Steve and Fernando explaining and fixing the check engine light problem that had been troubling my Lincoln MKC for a year that even Lincoln and another car service couldn't fix. They diagnosed and fixed my engine misfire problem by performing a camshaft and crankshaft relearn; and my car has been running smoothly ever since, and no more check engine light turning on. My window motor/switch had been acting funny, so I’d already planned to replace both, bust sure enough, it went kaput the day before a big rainstorm while the window was down 4”.
