Sarah at the front desk was exceptionally bubbly and friendly. Ali cut my hair and the fade was spectacular I was getting compliments all weekend. Definitely will come back.

Stylist: Lily is my stylist. She gives me the best hair color, highlights, cuts and blow dries I have ever had. She knows my hair so well and makes excellent recommendations on how I can care and style my hair at home. She is very knowledgeable about hair takes excellent care of me.

It is almost 25 years that I and my daughters are Samira's clients. For me she has been the best. She knows how to cut my hair the way it is best for me and after each cut, for at least two months I do not have any problem fixing my hair. I know Salon Daniel because of Samira. The salon is clean and staffs are very friendly. I will never change my stylist.

Samira is a GENIUS! Ive had 2 cuts and highlights now, I can easily say these are the best haircuts I've had in my life, and I've gotten tons of compliments! What I really loved was at my first appointment, she sat me down and talked to me about my hair and what I wanted for 20 minutes! This was before even getting in her chair. Just from that I felt so heard and understood and that this was my spot. The cut was so good that I asked if she could actually do highlights for me right then and there- so glad I did because I walked out looking FAB! Sarah did a Kerastase treatment for me and it was magical, really transformed my hair! She also gave me a ton of advice and I've been able to discuss the services I want on text with her, so that's super helpful! Everyone is so nice and the salon is very chic, even the shampoo chairs are massagers! So glad that after trying a bunch of salons and stylists in the DMV I've finally found my spot :)

A week and a half ago I came here to dye my hair back to its natural color, brown. I had black hair from hair dyes. We opened the book with the strands of hair and we both pointed and agreed on “chestnut brown” to bring my hair back. I kept asking her if she’ll need to lift my hair from the black she consistently said no. Well, she left the hair dye way too long, and my hair turned out black, and when I was getting my hair washed (I have curly tangly hair) I FELT my hair getting ripped out my scalp and breaking from how aggressively they were detangling my hair. I wish I wasn’t too shy to ask them to let me do it because now I have half of my old hair & most my hair strands have broken off from the harshness of the sink service.. I’m disgusted how badly the service was when the ask was so simple. They had me pay only for a hair treatment and gave me a free mask because they knew they messed up, but I really just want my healthy hair back.

Lily is the best! My mom and I have been seeing Lily for several years and absolutely love her. She is an expert with coloring hair, highlights, cutting hair and the keratin treatment. She is always willing to listen to the color and styles I want while also providing her expert opinion on what is best for my hair.

Daniel is a true master and a great person. I had some issues with my balayage color. He offered to redo for free. He made me feel very comfortable. I couldn’t be happier with the result. The whole staff is extremely supportive. Highly recommend!!!

I felt pampered at this salon. They got me almost any beverage I wanted on the house, a scalp massage, they removed the hair that had fallen on me after the haircut, they refilled my water bottle, they helped me put on my coat at the end.
I’m very happy with the haircut and partial balayage even though it was pricey.
My only recommendations are….
-I felt like my neck was being strained while I was waiting for the color to set in. I had to keep my neck tilted back for about 30 minutes. However, they did move me to a different chair after I said my neck was hurting even though it didn’t make much of a difference.
-I wish they didn’t give me a blowout. I didn’t ask for a blowout when I made my appointment. I don’t see the point in getting a blowout unless I’m going to a fancy event that day + it is gone the next day. It would’ve been nice to save some money there.

Pros: They got me in last minute, and Sareyya was so kind and accommodating to the fact I was pregnant and did a good job with color matching :)
Cons: Took way too long, color had to be re-done in one spot due to a mistake (and another mistake was found at home), and the front desk lady denied there being a new client discount even though the sign outside said there was. She said “that she (the hair stylist) gave me plenty of discounts already,” but when I looked at the receipt, no discount was applied and everything was full price. I was okay paying full price, but please do not lie about the hair stylist already giving me a discount when there was none just to get me checked out and out the building without arguing. Also, the hair stylist seemed to not want to blow out my hair, but straight iron for speed because it was the end of the day when we got done. That added an additional $60 to the bill when I initially just wanted a blow out. To be fair— I could have been more vocal about what I wanted. But still. For context, my hair is very fine and curly wet, but not unmanageable. The fact my hair was curly had nothing to do with length or quality of service, since my hair was straightened coming in, and that is when the coloring was done. I also saw other clients in chairs looking around as if they were looking for their stylist and where they went.
Because of the dishonesty of the front desk personnel, the misleading sign, the length it took to do my hair for only a partial highlight touch up (granted it was a lighter color than the prior highlights), and the mistakes made on my hair, I will not be going back.
Otherwise, a fantastic atmosphere and location. They offer refreshments and try to be as accommodating as possible!

Salón Daniel is a wonderful business with a beautiful environment and amazing staff! From my phone call to set up my appointment to all of my interactions with the staff, everyone was so kind and friendly. I was fortunate enough to book an appointment with Daniel, the owner. He gave me exactly what I wanted and needed, and made me feel so glamorous! I was nervous, as I've had very negative experiences with not getting the haircut it asked for and ending up disappointed. Daniel has an intuition and years of experience that is unmatched. He knew exactly what to do with my hair, and gave me the haircut I've been wanting and needing for years. I am so thankful that Daniel gave me the perfect haircut and really listened to me. I can't recommend this place enough! It's completely worth it!
