Mackenzie was the perfect partner for us to help find our first home, navigate the contract process and set up a smooth settlement. She was always available to answer our questions, explain next steps and never pressured us to put in an offer or get rid of contingencies we felt were necessary. She displayed a deep knowledge of the real estate market, the various neighborhoods we were looking at, and the granular details of our real estate contract. She also has a true gift for counseling first-time homebuyers through what is a pressure-filled and fast-paced process, and she does so with a great attitude. Thanks to her diligent hard work, we are very excited to be moving into our first home, and would highly recommend her to all our friends and family.

Mackenzie worked with us diligently and professionally for 3 months. She was patient, knowledgeable and accommodating. Great experience with her service. Mackenzie took care of all queries regardless of the time of day and was there at closing. She answered every question, did research as needed and was very detailed resulting in a smooth transaction.

I think she was very patient with us and very responsive to our needs. She provided a good variety of houses to review which helped us to narrow our search. It was so important to us as first-time homebuyers to find someone who would be patient with the millions of questions we had, candid in their answers, and unrelenting in their support to help us find our dream home. Mackenzie delivered on every one of our hopes and more.A guiding light in the entire process, she took the time to explain every part of the process (her patience really shone through here) and made herself available for calls at any time— even when dealing with the time constraints an international seller posed.Mackenzie continued to utilize her stellar interpersonal skills to put us in contact with the right inspectors and specialists to ensure each of our questions were addressed, and took the time to build a relationship with the selling agent that proved very valuable when navigating the offer process. She was sensitive toward our risk-averse personalities but wasn’t afraid to be realistic in her suggestions for navigating such a competitive seller’s market, all while maintaining a genuine positivity we felt comfortable relying on wholeheartedly.We entered the escrow period prepared with Mackenzie’s coaching and detailed communication with us and our mortgage provider. She was steadfast in her support as the period progressed and took the time to ensure all boxes were checked as we approached closing. Her detail-oriented nature ensured nothing fell through the cracks. We don’t know where we would be today without the steps she took to ensure we were on the right track in a complicated and stressful time.As we close out the holiday season in a home we never would have imagined possible at the beginning of 2021, we reflect on how thankful we were to have had such an informed and brilliant mind in our corner through the home buying process. I cannot speak highly enough of Mackenzie Horne. I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking to buy a home, especially first-time home buyers like myself. Mackenzie was incredibly patient with me, taking the time to walk me through each step of the process, answering all my questions along the way, and breaking things down in a way that I could easily understand.She is extremely organized, has a multitude of resources at her disposal, and will go the extra mile to get you the information you need. She was also very flexible, accommodating and scheduling around my work and other obligations. She took my calls in the mornings, evenings, weekends - always very responsive and communicative.Lastly, and in my opinion, most importantly - she was always looking out for my best interest. She is truly genuine in her desire and efforts to find you a home that will make you happy. She was never pushy or forceful. She gave me her honest opinion and in the end saved me from purchasing a coop unit that had an unstable financial situation. It is rare to find realtors that will put your interests above their own - Mackenzie is a gem!
