It is a very relaxing place. .Beautiful, scenic ,good walking trail.
Lots of benches to sit near the visitors centre.
It was closed when we went for renovation.
Though the restrooms and a take away café was open.
Drinking water available.
Rangers available for a trail walk.

Excellent park to get away from my daily grind. There are walking trails along the river. And the waterfalls are the best.

The falls really beautiful and amazing! Some of the roads is too dangerous. The design of the building is weird. The paths need to be covered with pebbles to avoid dirt. Stirs without ramps for baby carriages and wheelchairs. Parking lots is good capacity.

Water views are ok. The location is pretty good and accessible. With the hefty entrance fee, a better maintenance would be expected. The facilities such as bathrooms were horrible. Dirty, water overflows...

A must do on both the Virginia and Maryland sides. The VA side has the visitor center and is convenient to McLean and Great Falls village
Picnic area: Several charcoal grills near the visitor center and 3 overlooks

Park nature is beautiful but the picnic area is very disorganized and ugly it's showing who managed the park doesn't care about people.

It's a glorified park. I expected some hiking and stuff but it was too easy.

Get there early. I'm not joking. But it's definitely worth the wait. The views are incredible, especially Overlook #1. However, Overlook #1 is a pretty rough walk, relatively speaking. Overlooks #2 & #3 are much easier to access. There are a number of other vistas along the trail worth a stop, and the map provided at the gate easily guides you along the way. Lots of picnic spaces with tables and shade.

Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly place, although some of the hiking trail parts might be challenging for smaller dogs
