I am not one to give poor reviews nor am I one to believe poor reviews outright. In this case, I would give zeroes if I could. I brought in a blazer that needed cleaning and alterations. The lining had two small holes that needed sewing. I was charged $20 for the lining and the normal charge for the cleaning. The ticket printed Wednesday for pick up. I dropped it off on a Saturday. I came by on a Thursday to find that it was not ready. They said that for alterations it takes a week, so it will be ready on Saturday. I go Saturday. It is not ready. I go Monday it is not ready. I keep asking why and I said I would have appreciated a phone call. Mr. Park shows me my jacket. He said he had to “glue” it. Who fixes a hole with glue?!! And what is that white fabric under? Now the hole is bigger and the fabric ruined with glue (see photo). He opened the lining in the middle of my jacket (see photo) so he could “fix” it with glue. That part of the lining didn’t need to be fixed. Now that needs to be fixed. Refer to the third photo of what the size of the hole was. That is the other side that also needed to be fixed. Mr. Park told me this was how you fix the holes because the company couldn’t do it. I was giving this store benefit of the doubt because my parents owned one when I was younger and it is hard. I like to support small businesses and ones owned by immigrants as well. I called my parents and they said no one does alterations with glue. My dad called Mr. Park and found out (via speaking Korean) that the company was going to charge him $70 to fix the holes, so he decided to use glue on his own. My dad called back and Mr. Park said it will now cost $140! My parents and I were flabbergasted by the dishonesty and lack of integrity in Mr. Park’s business practices. He did not offer an apology for ruining my blazer. The blazer was not cleaned. In the end I took it back without it being cleaned and in worse condition than left. I sent it to my mom and she’s had to remove the entire lining and replace it. I will not go back to this store and I urge you not because they will ruin your clothes.

The regular sweater charged me $28.09, and the old man was extremely rude. When I asked if it was too much, he said, "Pay or leave the sweater." I did not realize this, and I gave the sweater away. This is a complete scam. Please do not go there. Another woman was there to have her pants fixed; she was asked to speak politely, and he was acting rudely toward her as well.too much expensive nd rude big scam in mclean

The "Good Quality Discount Cleaner" at 1420 Chain Bridge Road alas does not live up to its name. The quality has declined as have the customer relations.
After giving them hundreds of dollars of business over the last few years, they charged me for rectifying their own mistake. Not a life-altering sum, but the transaction (including suggestions that I was economical with the truth) left a bad taste in my mouth. The problem could have been cultural mis-communication, but I've now taken my business elsewhere.
I hope your experience is better, but given the low 2.6/5.0 ratings they've received to date, mine seems to be more the norm. Such a shame: McLean deserves better.

Paid in advance for dry cleaning service and then increased the price when we went to pick them up. Would not give us our clothes unless we paid the higher price. Unscrupulous!

I have been a loyal customer of this cleaner for over 10 years. The cleaning services provided are on par with those of full-price cleaners. They efficiently handle our dry cleaning and deliver quick turnaround times. The staff is truly fantastic, and I have never experienced any lost items throughout all these years. In addition to our regular dry cleaning, we entrust them with 3 to 5 button-up shirts every week. Over the course of a decade, we have only encountered a few broken buttons, which is quite impressive. It is worth noting that they only accept cash, as clearly advertised. On a side note, I have also utilized their minor alteration services, such as button replacement, hemming, and fixing rips. I must say, all of these alterations were excellently performed.

Horrible service, parking, quality, and everything in between.I accidentally left my laundry bag there and instead of calling to let me know, they dry-cleaned it and charged me.They also did not tell me they only take cash when I dropped them off. When I picked it up, I had to leave to find a cash machine and then go back.Clothes with stains never come back clean.

Sent my white coat for dry cleaning, came back with stains and lint all over it. Wouldn’t do anything to help fix it, refused to give my money back. First and last time coming back here

I went here bc a friend said they do an inexpensive hand collar wash for dress shirts, which they did just fine. Really nice people too, but English clearly is a second language and it can lead to misunderstandings. While they're the cheapest in town, you get what you pay for eventually. The savings isn't worth it if they lose your shirts. They lost one of mine I had tailored, which totaled about $75. I should've known when they tried handing me a shirt that clearly wasn't mine, with my name misspelled on it. Someone got mine in return and probably just kept it. Nice folks that can do in a pinch, but I won't be going back.

Please save your clothes and avoid this place. They ruined our clothes forever. For one of our winter jackets I had to visit thrice for pickup. In first visit they did a very bad job and left many areas unclean, so I requested them to clean those areas, paid them and left the jacket to be picked up the next time.In the second visit they ended up misplacing the jacket and couldn’t locate it, instead stated that I had already picked it up, which was absurd, but I instead and asked them to look for it.After more than a month of winter going by, they located our jacket and this was my third visit for collecting the same garment. This time I discovered the jacket color had changed and there were burnt stains on the artificial fur of the hood. It was bad.I even showed him a photograph of the jacket from a few days before I had given it for cleaning which clearly showed the earlier color, the shade of the jacket and it’s fur.But all these facts and visual proofs were falling on deaf ears.I had already paid a decent amount to them for cleaning it.But instead of accepting and acknowledging the fact, the owner asked me to contact the manufacturer of the garment on why it changed color. When I explained that we had used the jacket for a few months and then it was cleaned by you guys, then how is the manufacturer responsible for the change in its color. Then the owner not only denied any responsibility but also changed into a rude tone, started shouting and asked me to go away and contact a lawyer if I had any complaints.I not only faced a loss of my garment but it was also the worst customer experience and humiliation I ever experienced. Please do your clothes a favor and keep away.
