I am heartbroken to share an awful experience with Boone’s, after years of considering them our “neighborhood jeweler” (including custom pieces, gemstone and gold jewelry purchases, and many referred friends). I brought a high-end, much-cherished piece of Southwestern silver jewelry in for a quick hand polishing in advance of an upcoming event. Never crossed my mind that it would be anything other than a simple job, for which $30 seemed entirely reasonable. Unfortunately when I picked the piece up a week later, it had brown residue all over it, clearly from some sort of chemical cleaning agent. I was disappointed that my item was not handled how I’d requested, but even more bewildered that silver beads covered in brown spots with a rusty chain — none of which was there when I dropped it off — was considered acceptably cleaned to hand back to a paying customer. I brought the item back in and was told they would take another look at it, with no apology or acknowledgement of error. I went back in a second time to pick up the item, and while it looked better than it did after the first “cleaning,” it still looked far worse than when I originally brought it in. Near tears, I asked if they could please try again to at least get it back to how I brought it to them, and if they couldn’t do that, that they refer me to a place that could properly clean it and I would send them the bill. In response, I was told I was being unreasonable, had eyes rolled at me, and was preached to about how they don’t know what kind of metals they’re dealing with — which is precisely why I didn’t want the piece chemically treated to begin with! At this point, I sincerely wish they had just told me they specialize in gold and gems, and sent me elsewhere to clean my silver piece. Even a simple recognition of their mistake would have gone a long way. Now I’m left with a beloved piece in bad condition that I don’t know how to fix, and in search of a new “neighborhood jeweler” after how I was spoken to by the owner. Truly heartbroken.

I have been shopping here for 10+ years and have referred 100+ people. I have had zero complaints or regrets. The only issue is they are too nice and I feel like I’m supposed to tip when I leave (laughs).
I have gotten studs, bands, and custom designed pieces. All to a 5-star quality.

I have been going to this location for years and they never disappoint. The selection is vast- watches, sapphires, emeralds, pearls, diamonds, and more. You name it, they have it or they can easily procure a particular item or make it for you. They have jewelry and watches ranging from the mid hundreds and upwards. Ruben Cruz is the best. He is extremely kind and knowledgeable and the person to see. I have bought many pieces and have gotten many pieces made here and every single time always impresses me. This is the best jeweler in the McLean area by far.

My fiancé and I had above and beyond customer service today!I stopped by to sell some family heirloom jewelry pieces. My great experience started via email, where I spoke with Erik who was so kind, warm, and helpful. I don’t know a lot about selling gold, but I know I loved these pieces a lot; so this first step helped ease my nerves.When we got to the store, everyone was so kind, so welcoming, the store was pristine and well organized. I had to remind myself I wasn’t shopping because they had so many beautiful pieces! Not only were they kind to me, but so welcoming to my fiancé and our dog.They took their time evaluating each piece, explained what they were worth as well, and what the process they were doing was, and were very honest. Despite taking the necessary time, they were very quick and efficient and could answer all of my questions. I was incredibly impressed with the offer they made on my gold and jewelry, and was so touched by how seriously they took my feelings about parting with these pieces.We will be returning to resize my fiancés wedding band, and to change the prongs on my engagement ring. We look forward to doing more business with them in the future! The family owned touch really elevates this business!

Boone & Sons helped my fiancé design my engagement ring and it is so beautiful. We’ve gone back to get the wedding band and each time we go in, it’s a great experience. Maureen is lovely. She takes her time and really helps you find exactly what you’re looking for. We will continue to use them for many years to come.

I went into Boone and Sons today to get my wedding ring sized. I had a delightful conversation with Ruben and we agreed that I would bring it back in a week or so when they could do it- I carelessly put it back into my bag...or so I thought..and left the store. I continued on with my errands and then got a call from Ruben saying that a customer had found the box on the floor and he knew how upset I would be if he did not contact me immediately before I realized that I had lost it. I CANNOT tell you how important this was to me!! What INTEGRITY!! These are the type of people you want to buy jewelry from!! Sweet, Knowledgeable and HONEST! Boone and Sons must be quite honored to have such a wonderful employee!!

I cannot speak highly enough of my experiences at Boone & Sons and with Eric Boone. I had gone to many jewelers before coming to Eric and he was by far the easiest to work with and the most passionate about making the best ring for me and my (now) fiancee.I came to Eric with a tight timeline and a lot of questions. He quickly identified my needs/wants and worked within my budget to get it done. I found the whole experience rewarding and fun. As someone with minimal experience in jewelry, I felt like I found a real partner to make for the best proposal.All in all, I will seek out Eric and his colleagues at Boone & Sons for any jewelry related needs in the future. I trust him to take care of me and that he will be as invested (if not more) in ensuring my partner and I are truly dazzled.Thank you Eric and the staff at Boone & Sons McClean!

My husband and I worked with Ruben Cruz to find an anniversary ring for me, repair an opal and diamond heirloom ring I inherited from my great grandmother, and to with a watch purchase for my husband. I provided images of the ring settings and stones I was interested in having for the anniversary ring. Ruben delivered even though I was initially hesitant. He was great and understood my concerns. Very reassuring! The anniversary ring came out just as I wanted it and the opal ring repair and restoration was beyond what I expected. Oh, great price on the watch for my husband too! Actually, all pieces were very fairly priced for what we got and what the appraisals were. I would highly recommend him and Boone and Sons to others. We will be returning!

I called another jeweler in McLean, who may have been the rudest person I've ever spoken to. I was very happy to speak to a normal person when I call Boone and sons. Everyone at the store was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very accommodating! They have definitely earned a repeat customer in me!

Before I walked into Boone & Sons in McLean, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I see that they have been in business for over 35 years. That alone says a lot. I'm very happy that I walked in the showroom. For over 20 years, my husband and I wanted to adjust our engagement ring, but hesitated trusting anybody with it. We had no issues in trusting Boone & Sons with our engagement ring. We've been so happy with working with Maureen, as she has the vision to really understand what her clients are looking for.I truly appreciate their operation in McLean. All the staff has been so welcoming, professional, and helpful. It's comforting to know that my husband's and my jewelry needs are in their hands. Thank you Maureen, thank you Boone & Sons!
