Be sure to have your resort fishing license before you go!The first sign doesn't mention needing one, only about the fishing limits - (trout 4, any size, everything else, catch and release!) It's not until you get around to the "pier" that there's a sign with more detail. The license can be bought at the shop about 5 minutes away.I enjoyed my day relaxing by the water, but ultimately caught nothing. It was pretty, though!

Kids fishing day with Rockingham County Parks anf and Rec was great fun for the kids. Registration was required buy free.

Beautiful pond. Horrible fishing. We went fishing two separate days and didn’t even get a nibble. On our second day we saw no less than 15 dead trout on the shores (pictures included). Not sure if it’s the road work going on near by but it gives little hope for a successful fishing experience. Would suggest going to Lake Shenandoah instead it’s a 35 minute drive but we had a lot more luck, more shade, and an overall better experience.

Caught aa few Trout everyday between 12" & 16". Took the kids & grands and they caught a few each & had fun (no cell phones allowed). Wish they would stock with Bass (large & small mouth). Was looking for more places to fish nearby, but most places 45 mins- 1 hour away.

8-3-2022 - This pond is a beautiful place to go to and plenty of places if you want to pick neck but as of the fishing I've never seen or even had any luck what so ever fishing here that's the reason why I'm rating it as a three.

Very nice - Great place to do a little fishing - I fished for about 3 hours and caught a couple blue gill - Passed some time in the early morning - small but satisfying
