Their shop is now located at 725 east main st., Wytheville, VA. My 2005 Corolla had a "check engine" light. I took the car into them and looked at the software program analyzing the warning. The program of course listed a half dozen possibilities. They had my car for several days. The car, typical of many manufacturers, had parts from several years. The technician had to look at several years of automotive information. Fortunately he was able to ultimately make an effective repair. I received a very reasonable repair bill which included a part. The part was not something that is readily available off the shelf at a store. I was very happy with the cost of the repair. It is a very pleasant surprise to find people who are not slamming people with high dollar repair bills. I truly expected, and was somewhat fearful, a monstrous repair charge. They are very conscientious people. One of them stated that they do not want to "rip people off." He continued with comments about treating people the right way. I will in the future certainly go back to them for automotive work. I have recommended them to several people.

If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. My car's electronic locks failed after a 10 hour drive. Called McRoberts Towing and Recovery. I was told they would come in 45 minutes. I went inside the hotel for a bathroom stop and when I came out, my car was already open and the alarm was going crazy. I got in the car and it started right up. The guy was courteous, the work was very reasonable and QUICK!! In Wytheville these are the guys to call!! If everyone worked like this our world would be a better place.

I broke down all by my lonesome and these guys picked me and my car up on the side of the highway in Virginia at like 5am. They were very kind and made me feel comfortable while I waited and hung around figuring out the next steps. Highly recommend this place for all your towing and car needs☺️

My husband and I were driving through from East Tennessee and had 2 tires blow on our trailer. Dakota came out at 11pm and helped us get back on the road.

We were on our way back from vacation and rerouted for the third time. Our water pump busted and the VA trooper who helped us recommended this tow company. Dakota was kind enough to come find us and load us up on a Saturday evening and stayed until after 8 working to get us back on the road. He was kind enough to put the Water pump on and get us on our way. At the end of what's been a hard month this guys kindness and willingness to put in the extra time to help my family gets my vote!!! Have issues and need a tow or need some mechanic work done, Dakota and his crew are the ones to call.Services: General repairs & maintenance

A huge thank you to McRoberts Auto. Our truck broke down on exit ramp 84 with our camper in tow and Dakota came to the rescue. He went above n beyond to make a stressful situation manageable. Took us to a campground and took the truck to the shop where it was fixed at a very reasonable cost and was explained in detail as to what went wrong. Thank you guys so much!! Got a tow, the distance being about 0.24 Miles as my car had broken down at an intersection. After getting my car and towing it less than a quarter mile I was still charged an outrageously high price. I would most definitely recommend finding another place that won't try to squeeze the money out of you during an emergency. Was forced by an officer to use this company to get my car off the road "quickly", but I'll make sure I never do it again and I would recommend you do the same.

Extremely fast service!After I called them they were pulling up behind me within 10 minutes! My trailer lost its wheel and they were able to get it onto the rollback truck and take it to a nearby garage. The rate was reasonable as well.They even suggested that I would get my repair more quickly if I went to the nearby Tractor Supply Company and got a new axle and hub myself.THAT WORK PERFECTLY!I highly recommend this towing and recovery company.

This company went above and beyond for us last night! We broke down on the side of the road with a rental car. We called the rental company and they were taking their sweet time so we called police since we were right on the road. We couldn’t even open the doors without hitting the guard rail. They showed up, hooked up the van and got us out of a scary situation. They even brought another van to accommodate to six passengers and a dog. They helped us find a hotel and even drove us to a couple since they were all booked. They recommended what hotels to stay away from and that was greatly appreciated! I highly, highly recommend this company!

McRoberts Auto went above and beyond to help me on New Year’s Eve. My husband and I got a flat tire three hours from home in an area we didn’t know. Dakota came, put on a spare and then had us follow him to a service station that was still open so we could find a suitable tire to take us home. Highly recommend.Service: Tire change
