Park was fun and had good rides,The problem is the food. The food is overly priced and taste like its from a gas station. The milkshakes were good the first time but when we went back a second time another day It tasted horrible. It tasted like milk with sogged up oreos and the sevice was slow toke over 10 minutes to get horrible milkshakes. Besides that the park was good and the Arcade was superfun

The staff is pretty awful. Bunch of young kids with no pride and little world skills. There was one guy hustling... he was an older gentleman, working circles around the teens.
Bring your own chair. No seats.

I am a timeshare owner. I haven't been here for about 10 years. However this place has changed and is getting better. unlike other timeshare resorts, this one is getting bigger and better.

Park is generally good. No real rust present and plenty of fun to be had. Issues include:
the extreme amount of chlorine in the hot tub (basically CS gassing yourself)
The body slide is incredibly painful. Like 7/10 pain. Every seam on the slide felt like being slapped in the back by a whipping stick. Got off the slide and had red marks up and down, looking like a sun burn. DO NOT GET ON THE BODY SLIDE. even my niece (8) refuses to ride it due to the pain.

It is hard to come to this place and not compare it to great wolf lodge. Everything about this place is inferior. It is just harder to do everything. Ordering food takes longer, lines are longer, it is generally less clean and there are fewer seats. If you are already in Massanutten, it might be worth it for one day but don’t make a trip out of it.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is not only poorly managed but blatantly racist. We were treated with outright disrespect and ignored when we raised concerns. The staff was rude, dismissive, and made us feel unwelcome the entire time. We came here to enjoy the indoor waterpark, but instead, we were met with prejudice and hostility. The water was murky, the facilities were subpar, and the attitudes were even worse. If you value respect and decency, stay far away from this disgrace of an establishment.

The kids had a blast. Pricey but super fun and well maintained.

Price is very high. Lifeguards nice. Concession staff lacking to say the least. Person working the food stand didnt seem very present. Ordered a meal with fries and was told they were making more fries (fine) but then they proceeded to hand out the fresh fries to people who ordered after me (and the family in front of me). Young person working counter had to be told by manager to give the people waiting their fries. As if he had forgotten we existed in about 2 minutes after ordering.... Wasn't even that busy...

We just came to the waterpark this weekend, December 14. It was too cold. Everything about it was too cold. The water, the air temperature. The “”hot tub”. There is not enough in this indoor waterpark to justify $56 per person on any day of the week. I’m very disappointed and I feel like it was a waste of money.

I arrived before the water park section was open, so I shopped in the Gift Store, peeked at the Arcade, and then got some food later in the day. Low on photos at the moment, but I be able to add soon.
The warm water area where you can swim indoors and outdoors is one of my favorite areas. When you walk up the stairs to the larger water slides, The green Country Cooler slide is the slowest and even that one is a little fast for me personally, but it's not too bad once you relax and look up and enjoy the motion. The drop is the part I don't like.
The lazy river is nice to ride on but the water is cold now instead of warm, so I am not a fan of the sprinkles that you have no choice but to go through/under. But the rest of it is nice.
I like that they have an area for small children, so that parents can help their kids on little slides and do tiny activities to help them get acquainted with being in the water.
The surf area looks impressive and hard to do, but surprisingly it really isn't too bad! All you have to do it follow what the helpers tell you, and you can figure out things and learn. I would advise you to try it. The scariest part for me was having to jump down onto the water instead of slide. But they explained how to put your arms on the wave board that they provide and that keeps you balanced. The right and left sides have areas where if you want to just slide down and get off just to get a small mini experience with it, you can. They have a stoplight that lets you know when your turn is up and the next person can go.
There is a 18+ hot tub that's very hot that can be found off the lazy river or if you walk around behind the play area in the middle.
The middle play area with the large water bucket has three slides: blue (tallest, longest and fastest of the 3 main kids slides and you have to cross a rope floor on foot so if you have sensitive feet--a pair of water shoes might come in handy here), green (shortest, and easier to get to (same direction as the blue slide, but you get to the green one first), and the orange slide (which is in between the slower green and faster blue in pace/speed, height, and duration. If you go the shorter route to the orange slide there is a rope floor, however you can go around a longer route to avoid the rope floor and save your feet if you would like to.
There is a someone at the bottom who can electronically push a button to communicate with the employee at the top of the water slide to inform the individual waiting to go down the slide if it is safe to begin riding down yet or not. There is a light that turns from to green. It is red when a person is on the slide and green when the person leaves the slide from the bottom and there is confirmation that the previous rider has left the water and is safely on the ground, so there will not be a collision with the following person.
There are also a couple of slides--on the side of the main play area in the middle--to go down that are shorter: a red one and a green one. The red one is shorter, slower and more smaller-kid friendly and the green one is of course faster and taller. You might want to hold your back up a little bit on this one because otherwise you have to watch out for splashing under the water and getting water in your face and nose. Just cautionary. It happened to me! :)
The food area is a decent size and they have kiosks where you can order your food so you don't have to stand in line as long, but make sure you have your receipt number because sometimes technology is not our friend. If a machine runs out of paper, and you order food, you might have to say (for example): my order number is 500B and I only ordered a 20oz ginger ale, but the check-out kiosk did not print a receipt. Just something to be aware of the possibilities because this was my experience when I asked if they had received my order, but we figured it out.

My son, my wife and I went on a timeshare weekend. We extended our stay to have a day at the Waterpark. The Waterpark isn't that nice. The last river was to cold to enjoy so everyone crowded the kids hot tun that was bath water. Im sure that is normal to keep the kids from being to hot. But honestly you had the choice of a couple slides or the kids hot tub. Everything else was cold. It's November so we only used the inside. We are from pittsburgh, it's 2 hours to splash lagoon, 5 hrs to massanutten. Hands down without a question splash lagoon 200%. If you go to massanutten for the water park don't waste your time unless it's free or very cheap. They have a drink fountain that you have to scan you cup and are only allowed one refill. How cheap can you get.

Just meh if I’m honest. We have been coming to Massanutten Resort for years and depending on what time of year we come we always go snow tubing or the water park. This time we did water park, it has been a couple years. Here’s the takeaway: lazy river too cold to even want to ride, food pretty darn expensive for what you are getting (not that great), tube slides are great, fun in the center and the surfing riptide area, but…. Meh. Also a warming station with heated blowers would be great to warm up and dry off.
The towels & the lighting are serious concerns: charge us a fee with a partially refundable deposit for towels here…this is crazy to me to have a water park that expects you to bring your own towels. When the sun goes down there is almost no lighting inside the park. We are not super concerned as our kids are older but being honest there’s no way the life guards (or parents) can see their kids with the lack of lighting that happens as soon as the sun goes down. It’s dangerous!
