I recently visited and I appreciated that the home was clean and I also had a friendly encounter with the Administrator. Nice to know that the folks are being taken care of.

My wife is there. The staff is unprofessional, the food is terrible, the manager Dwayne has had me banned for a short time for having words with a night time staff member because I took my wife out to our car for a while. All they care about is your money. Your family member could drop dead in front of them and they would just look at it as it being one less person's insurance to bill.

My mother was transferred from Danville hospital 1 day ago. the staff has been wonderful and very helpful with explaining everything to me to make some very difficult decisions. The facility is not new or pretty by any means, but care seems very good and at the end of the day, that is what is important.

Worst place you could send a family member. Unsanitary, unprofessional, and poor bedside manner all around.

As the social worker I get to know the residents, family and staff. I’ve been impacted on the multiple successes within the facility. Having consistent staff that work with our residents have a significant impact on consistency of care which shows through the satisfaction of our residents and families. Seeing individuals discharge back to the community successfully and reaching their highest level of independence speaks volumes about our team!

I've lived at the nursing home a few years. The staff bends over backwards for me. They have great attitudes and I've made lots of friends here. They helped me change the way I look at life.

Have worked in this facility for over 28 years. We have a very caring staff. I can't imagine leaving and working anywhere else!

I have a cousin there right now! The care is ok, but the food they give you is nothing you would give a stray animal. Her clothes and blanket have been stolen and the staff is ghetto. I'm supposed to speak with someone tomorrow about this, so I will update my message. For now they get NO STARS! But I have to push 1 so I can upload this message. SMH...

I worked the Alzheimers and Dementia Unit. This is an unsafe environment for any patient. R N was Endicted for stealing medications. Director of Nursing Diedra Hairston told me to move a paraplegic patient with a hoyer lift by myself or lose my job. I quit. CNA'S take the food off the cart and eat it themselves, patients get what is leftover after nurses eat what they want. They also allow employees to get drunk in patients rooms. Never trust this facility.

My father was at this place for one month following being discharged from Roanoke hospital. I would never put any family members back in this place. When going to visit my father the place was unkempt. Multiple times I arrived to find my father cover I fesses and urine where it had been there long enough to dry on his clothes. When telling staff I was told we have more than one patient. I was only told one time about him falling but would find new bruises when I asked about was told oh he fell again. Bottom line this place is a dump and a joke staff is horrible and there policies on how to run a rehab facility. My father showed absolutely no improvement while there he actually declined in abilities. Since getting him out of that place my father is now 100% better and getting stronger.

My mother stayed for a hospice respite stay. She said as far as the care she received the Aides and Nurses were very attentive and caring. Couldn’t do enough for you. So if your looking for a place that will give good care she said they were wonderful. All of the staff I met were very friendly, courteous and super nice. You can tell they have a great sense of humor.I would give it a 5 stars but 4 stars are for the staff and the 5th star is empty because the facility is old, outdated and needs much improvement that is hasn’t had for many years.

I was delivering food to a patient and was talked down to as though I was ignorant and treated poorly by the person at the reception window. I regretted not asking her if she was having a bad day or was this her normal tone and attitude towards everyone. There is no reason to have an edge to your tone as a "receptionist", if this is "reception" than I am the Queen of England.
