I recently brought my mother’s antique wedding dress (who is no longer with us) to Tang’s after I received numerous recommendations. When I first called they walked me through the process of getting it cleaned and the timeline I should follow given it was about a year out from my wedding. I put all my trust in them with this very sentimental piece and they went above and beyond expectations. They sent it out to get cleaned and let out the sides to make it fit. I could not be more grateful for their services and for treating this dress as if it was their own. Thank you, Tangs for making it possible for me to wear my mother’s dress on my special day!!

Tang is a true pro and very knowledgeable about her craft. I got estimates at a couple other seamstress shops and they weren't able to solve the problems I had ( for example, the cups were too big and other shops wouldn't make the cup smaller, they just wanted to stuff them which looked weird and threw the proportions off) so they were planning to do some workarounds that would be more expensive and didn't look natural, which is what I wanted.
Tang did a great job, my dress fit me like a glove. And, she is funny which made the appointments fun :) She also took me in a couple weeks before my wedding when I dropped a bunch of weight due to stress and did some emergency alterations. IMO Tang is one of the most affordable and the most knowledgeable seamstresses in the DMV.

I would highly recommend Tang's alterations for your wedding dress needs! They were extremely professional and efficient. Tang made me feel so comfortable through the whole process and did an excellent job with the work on my dress. Though I only got minimal alterations, her work made all the difference, getting the hem exactly right for the height in my shoes, as well as some detail in the bust area. I felt amazing on my wedding day and would highly recommend Tang's!

I had a wonderful experience with Tang's Bridal both for finding a dress and for all the alterations!! Everyone who worked there was so kind, and they have a beautiful collection of wedding dresses. My dress was complicated to get alterations on, but I had complete confidence in Tang's during the whole process and everything went perfectly!

I had amazing bridal dress shopping with miss Lisa. She did absolutely great job made me feel very comfortable. She also completely worked with me on pricing Normally I don't do this. Her and tangs bridal shop deserves recognition

I went to Tang’s for my wedding dress alternations that included hemming my ceremony dress, adding hooks to my detachable skirt, and hemming my reception dress. I highly recommend Tang’s for all of your wedding dress alterations! The professionalism and quality of service is top notch. I had an amazing experience purchasing my wedding dress from Lisa at Tang's and then getting my alterations done by Tang herself! Before coming to Tang's, I had gone to 3 other shops and I hadn't found a dress that felt like 'me.' At Tang's, there was an up-to-date Pinterest board to get some ideas of the dresses they had in store and I had requested to try some of those on. Lisa was absolutely fantastic in listening to my changing preferences and pulling the right dresses. It felt like she really cared about me as a person and went above and beyond just doing her job. I also loved the way my dress turned out with alterations. Tang definitely knows what she's doing! My mom got her dress altered by another tailor and she loved the way
it turned out. The whole team is A++

I had to have quick turn around (1 month ?) on my wedding dress alterations since it arrived late due to back-order. I submitted my request through their website and within 24 hours I got a call to schedule two fittings.
Just went to the first fitting today. All the staff was kind and attentive. All I needed was the bodice to be taken in and the skirt hemmed to length. I was in the shop for not even 30 minutes! I was surprised how quickly the appointment went, Xiao-Yin made the process seamless and stress free. She really made sure the adjustments were to my liking and suited the dress well.
I cannot recommend this shop enough from today’s experience alone. Thank you!!!

Extremely disappointed in my alterations. I didn’t realize how unflattering they were until the iPhone pictures rolled in along with the professional. This is how it looked when I said yes vs. how the dress was altered at Tangs (weighing 10 pounds less while looking 20 pounds heavier). I’ve had good experiences here but if you are large chested, I would highly suggest finding someone else. The straps were falling down the entire night, along with the entire way down the aisle. Extremely upset.

I wish I could give a 5 star review because the alterations for my wedding dress were really excellent and the bustle was beautiful as well. The service was really great and everyone was very kind.
Unfortunately when we had the dress pressed, they gave us the dress and then the garment bag I had brought it in separately. What we did not know was that the crinoline had been removed from the dress and placed separately in the garment bag. The volume that the crinoline gave was not only something that was really important to me but it also shortened the dress length as the alterations were done with the crinoline in. We did not bring the separate garment bag with us to the venue and I did not even realize what exactly the problem was until after the wedding. I thought maybe I had lost weight and the dress was sitting lower, making it too long. The dress ended up being so long because of the missing crinoline and I had a lot of trouble walking down the aisle and also was not able to do my first dance, which we spent months rehearsing, as we both were tripping over and stepping on the length of the dress. I ended up having to take off the dress and borrowing a bridesmaids dress to do redo our first dance.
The dress was still beautiful but it was definitely missing volume which is disappointing that is missing in pictures and that it was very difficult to walk without tripping. Instead of enjoying the moment i was focused on trying to hold up/not step and trip on the dress. :( The seamstress' work was really excellent but I really wish they would have communicated to us that they had removed the crinoline and stored it separately from the dress. It also didnt appear that the crinoline was actually pressed. I just want to write this so that future brides know... please check to make sure you have crinoline, gloves, etc. with your dress.
We are planning to have our pictures retaken now so I hope to be able to capture the dress better then.

I had heard about Tangs from my hair stylist. I tried dresses on at their showroom. It was so cute and the service was phenomenal. I had already had a dress in mind and they did their best to try and show me close options. In the end I didn’t get a dress from their showroom but the woman who helped me gave me so many tips and was so supportive of the dress that I ended up getting somewhere else. I had all of my alterations done at Tangs. And I didn’t know my dress could look better! The communication was top notch and the honesty was what every bride needs and wants. I even had help with my earrings, shoes and nails. I left for my wedding feeling like I had everything I’d dreamed of for my bridal look.
