For things like this, I typically wait awhile before I write a review. I got my competition sound system installed a little over a year ago and the setup is top notch. Donnie was my point of contact and things were done timely. About 5-6 months in, one of my speakers blew and I called about it because it was still in warranty and Donnie handled it very professionally and there were no run arounds. Within a few days, I had a replacement installed and have been slapping ever since with no other issues. I’m pleased with the system and service overall. I would recommend safe and sound for anyone in the market.

Great place for car audio and tint needs! My husband and I have taken our cars here a few times and we are never disappointed. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and truly passionate about their services and products! Can’t recommend them enough!

This is from 2 years ago, but I had a subwoofer installed and front speakers replaced on my 2014 Toyota Corolla and am thrilled! It was very professionally done and they were easy to work with. Here's an email I sent to the owner:Rich, I just wanted you to know how much I’ve enjoyed working with your employees Jesse and Donnie. I am a middle aged woman and I know nothing about car audio so I really appreciate the expertise of your employees. I told Donnie I just wanted to get my sound balanced out because it wasn't sounding good to me and he came right out and hopped in my car and listened to my music. Donnie noticed I had my bass turned all the way up and suggested I needed a subwoofer and he did so in a completely endearing way by telling me about people’s different “language” they use for “saying” they need a subwoofer. So eventually I went for it and boy am I glad I did! This has definitely become a joke with my friends…they laugh at me with my rearview mirror rattling, but I’m laughing too! I never would have guessed that a subwoofer would add so much to my enjoyment of my music.So then, I decided to get the vibration in my front speakers fixed. I was curious what a whole system would cost and got that estimate worked up as well, since I know nothing about this stuff. Donnie assured my that I would be fine with the Focal speakers that he originally suggested and that were ultimately installed and he was right on. He never tried to up-sell me. I can tell you, this really sealed the deal with me. A salesman that is honest and just recommends what you need is gold. That’s someone that is going to engender trust with customers and result in referrals. I’m really sensitive to sales tactics and if he had tried ANYTHING on me other than what I actually needed and wanted it would have been over. And he’s a pleasure to deal with. Donnie doesn’t use any “tactics” at all, he’s just a natural and to have sold me something I didn’t know I needed and am so happy with—that’s the real magic.Jesse I did not interact with as much and he’s on the quieter end, but I can tell he knows what he’s doing and it looks like the installation was very well done. You’re lucky to have two such stellar employees.I just wanted you to know my perspective and experience since it seems like you are engaged with your business.

These guys did a great job at a fair price for a remote start/alarm system for me. Work was completed quickly and the install is clean. The individual that helped me choose a system was helpful and up front on cost. Will return and recommend!

I have been a customer of this store for 25 years- since 1998 when living in Manassas park. Back then, there were Audio Buys, Sound Solution, Crutchfield etc. but always chose Safe and Sound. To say I spent A LOT of money purchasing Viper car alarm systems, Alpine head units, rims for 3 different cars, etc. Is an understatement. I live an hour away in Orange County and still decided to support this store, but not anymore. I was greeted by a Korean guy with black glasses and a ball cap on, when I walked through the door and I asked about a JL Audio amplifier. Before I could even get out any questions or anything he was headed to the back to grab it so I could purchase it. I had to stop him as I just wanted to ask questions about it. I was not there to purchase it yet. We then proceeded to talk about a speaker box in which he said it would fit perfectly in my vehicle. He was a very smooth talker and a fast talker. We then went to look at RCA cables, the reason I was there. He was showing what was available and asked my wife to close her ears as he was referring to the items with sexual jokes, which was cringe worthy, VERY uncomfortable and unprofessional. At that point, I decided I wasn't going to purchase anything as he became creepy and perverted. I decided to just leave and he realized I wasn't going to purchase anything, as I was walking out, he asked what kind of vehicle I had, very nicely, and basically dismissed me and said there is nothing in the whole store that would work and it would be a $10,000 job, with a very nasty attitude. He turned simple RCA cables into what could of been a very bad argument. Thank goodness I kept my cool and just left. I will no longer support this store, after the poor customer service, the blatant disrespect to my wife and I with inappropriate sexual jokes, the attitude I had to endure, etc. All because I wanted to go in and price items and purchase some items for my vehicle. I now have an appointment with Crutchfield in Charlottesville, VA. Thank goodness there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and my car will be complete within a few days. WOMEN BEWARE.....do not go here alone, bring someone with you!!

These guys are great!!! Figured out what was wrong with my speakers for me, came up with a solution and put in a system that is EXACTLY what I wanted.The staff are nice and easy to talk to, and did a great job! The owner, Mark, is very helpful and knowledgeable. Him and his staff delivered on my expectations!! I, highly, recommend going to them for any audio installs!!

Took my car in for a mid-level audio upgrade including speakers, subwoofer and amps. I spent a bit more than I had hoped, but the upgrade turned out better than I expected. I am extremely pleased with the outcome and the guys at Safe & Sound went above and beyond to explain every bit of the upgrade before, during and after the installation. No surprises. I love that!The only "raised eyebrow" that I have is finding a lot of the OEM pushpins missing that hold my trunk panels in place. If they were careless enough to misplace or skip over putting those little items back, how many other details were overlooked. I guess only time will tell.

Today I received terrible customer service from a guy with glasses working behind the counter. He was not at all helpful when trying to determine the best system for my vehicle. Made a lot of assumptions (saying all vehicles have amps) and never asked what I was actually looking for. I don’t think 1966 vehicles were built with amps. He was very rude and I will not be coming back there.

I recently took my Tacoma to safe and sound where I met Donnie for a initial estimate of having a caliraised premium roof rack with a combo light bar and front and rear lights installed. The initial sales order was for $572.40 with a install date of 2 June 2023....the install date was changed to 9 June 2023 due to overbooking and lack of man power in the shop. When I dropped the truck off at 10am on 9 June Donnie assured me the truck would be completed with install by 2 or 3pm being the latest. At 5:44pm I received a call that the truck would not be ready it was taking longer then expected and it would be done by 11am the next day. 10 June I waited to after 12pm then went to the shop where they were still working on the install. After numerous hours 4:20 pm the truck was final completed (to there standards) in which time I was ready to pay the balance of said original agreement of 572.40 I did understand they used some of there own product so expected a few extra dollars add on. Then Donnie tried to bill me for $1350 with 12 hours of labor at $130 per hour. I did contact caliraisedled to confirm install man hours for all materials of the rack and lighting and was told 4-5 hours. I did refuse to pay the $1350 and ended up paying $943.39 which was still overcharged. Donnie tried to say I said it was "ok" for the added on charge when he told me they were not done...I was being considerate and patient with them taking longer then expected not opening my wallet for assault. Also the job was not fully completed even Donnie said he did not like how the ziptide wires on top....will say thank you to the installer for not letting Donnie drill and put a junk switch inside my control panel, instead he left it open for me and told me what to get. Para la comunidad espanola....cuidado Donnie no toner paciencia para tartar de hablaros Comoros me dijo en la tied a despues de que se fue un caballero espanol. Owner of this shop you have a cancer that is not good for this community running it his integrity is non existent and he does not support the people of Manassas.
