I echo everyone else’s complaints and more. When I purchased my current home the previous owner told me propane tank in my new property (placed underground) was already paid for since they used this company for many, many years. However, Since I was the new owner Quarles wanted me to pay rent of this tank and they added that I could not use another company to fill in the propane. I told them that did not sign any contract with them and that they could come over and dig out the tank, but I was told that I will have to pay for the removal charges; forcing me to buy propane from them!At that time, we established automatic refills so we were charged over $50 dollars a month and around August an additional cost of over $550; I was told because they completely fill in the tank so I stopped the automatic refills. We did this for almost two years until I decided to stop; I never used the propane, at all. It didn’t make sense why I have to pay so much money for something I barely use.Two years later, I still have 50% of the tank filled, this means that for over two years they took my money when I did not even needed additional propane. Now, since I have not been refilling the all this year, I received a bill -this week-charging me $120 for tank rental??!!I wish the government do something about companies like this that only look to monopolize services and steel people’s money. They need to be sued!

Absolute nightmare to deal with. Everybody is rude and brainless. Could not answer simple questions. Could not give accurate information. Must be huffing their own gas. 0 stars!

Echoing a number of other reviews about failure to deliver, long waiting times on hold, and unresponsiveness. I canceled my account with them a year ago. Even after I canceled my account, I kept getting notices and incorrect bills which I was finally able to put a stop to with significant additional effort. This organization is simply dysfunctional.

Quarles has been going downhill in service and services for the past 10+ years. There are better companies that want your business and deserve your business. I have run out of gas several times so the guarantee never to run out means absolutely nothing. Just a bait and switch.

Called on a Thursday for a refill because I knew my tanks were getting low. There was a hold on my account because my mom had a balance for her house that hadn’t been paid. (Nothing to do with me.) They would not fill my gas. We paid the balance and I was out of town Friday and Saturday, the propane ran out Saturday night. I called Sunday hoping for an emergency delivery, but I was put in a list with “priority”. Monday went by and no delivery, no phone call. I called them twice and had no answer. Now it’s Tuesday and I spoke with them on the the phone and they said, “we will get there as soon as possible within the next ten business days.” I have no heat in my house, it’s 50 degrees inside. Thankfully I dont have children, otherwise this would be a terrible situation.

Let's just say I couldn't wait to give my cancelation notice of agreement to them.Horrible CS. I've had so many issues with their service I had to escalate it to their regional manager.Look elsewhere if you need a reliable knowledgeable propane provider.

Wow, what a terrible company. I had run out of fuel in the middle of the winter, so I called them asking for an emergency refill. They said they could be there within 5 days (called on a Monday morning) but I would have to pay for 200gal upfront. Fine, I needed heat ASAP, so I paid the $750. The following Monday, I called asking why the oil had not been delivered yet. They then claimed that it had already been delivered. I had been watching carefully all week for these guys so that I could turn the heat on immediately. I verified that my furnace was still bone dry. After much discussion, it turned out that the driver literally just lied and wrote on the work order that it was complete. Finally, TWO WEEKS LATER, they sent a driver to give me the oil that I already paid for! Then, they had the audacity to send me a bill that was $900 because the price per gallon had gone up in the two weeks that they failed to deliver! What a joke this company is. Don't waste your time, your money, or your days in the cold with these clowns. This year I will be using a different company.

We like many other received a letter from the Quarles that stated they would no longer deliver to our house. They have been delivering fuel for nearly 25 years and suddenly are refusing. They claim they can no longer deliver to homes with bridges (as is 10 foot span over a natural creekbed). It sounds to me like they can no longer afford to pay their drivers enough money to get qualified folks. The division manager, Norman Schaaf provides seriously bad customer service.
