I went today for the first time for an annual inspection. The wait time quoted was spot on. Price was very fair. Staff was friendly and pleasant. I will return for future service.

As a 20-year customer, OTAR's quality service, reliability and reasonable prices are unbeatable.

I wish I could leave less than one star. The staff is rude, lazy and incompetent. If you need any work done, this is not the place to go.
They charged me $5,000 to replace my transmission. Not bad, right? I went ahead with it and they put in a replacement, since my wife who passed away last year gave me the car and it’s very important to me that I keep it. Not to mention, with a 2011 Toyota RAV4 at 65k miles, getting a transmission replaced is a logical choice, rather than replacing the car… unless you take it to this shop. The replacement is as bad as my original broken transmission. It had code read errors immediately and now the broken solenoids in this replacement have evolved into damage to other components of my car.
When I try to take it to their shop in hopes they will honor their 1 year warranty, they tell me I’m wrong and nothing is wrong with the transmission, even though every other mechanic has told me that it is the problem (as well as every code reader), and then they charge me hundreds of dollars to do other work that I don’t ask them to do (such as charging me $300 to “tighten all my grounds” and then I am told by a real mechanic a few weeks later that they lied about doing it anyway).
Every phone call is rushed or hung up on. They don’t care about doing the work right or fixing their mistakes when they do it wrong. They are determined to tell you that they are right and you are wrong, even though a list of other, more reputable mechanics are telling you that you are right. Olde Town Auto Repair robbed me blind, and then continued to kick me while I was down. They beat me, and I made the mistake of trusting them. Hopefully this review will save somebody else from making the same mistake I did.

My battery and alternator failed at the same time. I had been going to another mechanic for the last 20 years, but they retired and closed their shop. I spoke with John at OTAR and brought my car in right away. They quoted me a fair price and ultimately charged me less than that. These guys are great. I'll be going back.

These guys are awesome. Always quick and efficient with inspections and I've seen their interactions with customers coming in for repairs and they are friendly and thorough. Would not hesitate to get work done here.

This was my first time visiting Old Towne Auto Repair with a recommendation from my wife's colleague. I am glad I have found a care repair place that I can trust. Bob was very kind and had my front brakes, oil leak and timing belt for my 2003 Accord done. I am happy with this service especially not seeing a lot of oil on my garage floor. Unfortunately, my car had a scratch on the front bumper when I picked it up but he fixed it for me free of charge! That's real honesty, God bless them.
