If anyone could give the staff a reason to be rude, it would be me. They have never treated me less than professional. I've never had to wait more than four minutes with three people in line. As per convenience, step-by-step, they are just as close to the entrance as most other grocery stores. Even when it's not as convenient as the drugstores, drugstore prescriptions will cost more. A few steps more, a few dollars less -- and much better service. You do not have to be a member of Costco in order to use the pharmacy.!!!

Costco has the worst online shopping experience. I order bunch of appliances from them. (Order number 1072022246). The first issue is it took 2 months to get all the appliances. Although it was saying 2 weeks for arrival. The second issue is the dishwasher came with a dent. I contacted with them thasound times here is the reference number for my chat with your agent. 231210-001695. The agent offered me $100 gift card for the dent since it was out of stock so replacement was not an option. Also another $100 for late shipping. I am told that shopping card would arrive in email in 2 weeks. After that I chatted with them, called them so may times. Every time I am told that there was a problem with the system so the card was not issued. They said they issued this time and it should arrive again 2 weeks. It has been couple of months and I still dont have the card.

I love Costco! The pizza is so good and I always find stuff to buy. Customer service support can be really slow so I try not to return stuff

I decided today that I was going to get a Costco membership and when I was buying it they only took visa so I had to use my daughters debit card in order to pay for the membership. As a mother this is really embarrassing!! Then after shopping for a good 2 hours we went to checkout and they only took visa!! I once again used my daughter's debit card which had worked before, and it declined it!! After getting some help the regular cash registers still didn't take the debit card!! I had to leave that store without any groceries and now my kids are hungry. I don't recommend going here until they get rid of this ridiculous thing where they only take visa.

A few weeks ago, I wrote a complaint about Costco's customer service. A few days later, a customer service representative called me to discuss the unpleasant experience I had. She assured me that she would share my feedback with the management team. Since then, I have continued to shop at Costco and noticed a significant difference. When I walk in, people say hello, and when I check out, they say hello and thank you. As I leave, a gentleman wishes me a wonderful day and thanks me for shopping there. I believe that if a company truly cares about its customers, it will make changes, and Costco did just that. I was impressed.

My family shops here all the time. We bought a costco interstate battery here for our C-RV for a very good price. I looked up the part number online and went to the car and battery area seperate from the main store and it was readily available on the shelf. Battery is warrantied for 3 years. So far so good, will see if the battery holds up.

"We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell, with a full refund." ** Caveat Emptor ** Returning a product has historically been hassle-free at Costco, but we've stumbled upon a disheartening truth. Contrary to what their sales register displays, Costco doesn't refund the exact purchase price; instead, they refund you the current sales price of the item, regardless of what you initially paid. (unless you catch them) ** Tracking Purchases ** Costco meticulously records every purchase, down to the minute and penny. They know what you bought, its cost, when and where you bought it, and who made the purchase. While they claim this minimizes the need for paper receipts, the recent incident exposed a different reality. ** The Refund ** Today, my wife returned a massive bag of almonds with a unique 'Korean Barbecue' flavor, as is typical relying on their purchase tracking rather than a paper receipt. We are Korean food fans and were excited, but the taste was far from what we expected; it tasted more like spicy rotting fish. Even my dog refused to touch it. We were unsatisfied; enough said or so we thought. Upon returning the product, Costco promptly refunded my wife the current 'sale' price, which was $10.49 ($14.99 - $4.50) plus tax (see attached). This raised a question: 'Was this product on sale for a month?' Curiosity led my wife to find the original paper receipt, confirming that we had paid the full price (see attached). Notably, Costco never communicated that they wouldn't provide a full refund, nor did they justify their decision, despite having the original purchase price in their system. ** Slicing the Salami ** One might argue it's just $4.50, so it's not a big deal; but consider $4.50 is 43% of the regular retail price. What if I returned a $3,000 TV and they refunded only $1710? Costco acted as if the refunded amount was the actual purchase price, despite displaying their 'full refund' policy on the wall behind the customer service counter. How many times have you returned items at Costco, believing you received a full refund? Have you ever double-checked? How many other customers have unknowingly faced the same situation? (Remember, one of the earliest and most infamous computer crimes involved exploiting banking rounding errors, each less than a penny, accumulating to millions for the perp.) By May of 2023, Costco had 124.7 million members. If they did something like this one time for each customer at only $4, that's over $500 million dollars of illegitimate gain for Costco. Let's not forget that Costco checks your items before you leave to prevent theft. While not completely invasive, it is insulting; and in light of what we have experienced, most definitely hypocritical. ** To Return or Not To Return, That is the Question ** My wife, on principle, returned to Costco with the original receipt (attached) and requested a full refund. The customer service clerk called their supervisor over to address the issue. The supervisor was hesitant to provide the refund difference and for some reason had to make a decision to do so. My wife pointed out to the supervisor that this exercise with repeated visits to the store was highly inconvenient, and suggested Costco offer a minimal gift card as a gesture of goodwill and apology. The manager replied, 'We can't do that.' . (It's important to note that "can't" does not equate to "won't."). The manager ultimately authorized the refund of the additional amount omitted from the original refund and provided what was essentially a pat response apology. Note that the store published policy on the wall also says "We will refund your membership fee in full at any time if you are dissatisfied.". If my wife has her way, we may be putting that to the test soon. As she aptly points out, "who needs Costco when you have Walmart and Amazon? We have /never/ had any issue with a return at either!" ** Trust (or not) but Verify **

I went and it was a little crowded. They do have good prices. And items are unique from other stores.

I've been coming here for years and today my experience at self checkout was bad. Firstly, this location does not provide enough motorized carts for people who have a hard time walking. I went shopping for my mother who has a hard time walking. Did all the shopping and went to self check out, now they have a person checking the store ID and was told that If the person is not physically in the store (sitting in the vehicle outside) you can't shop for them. Never had a problem before doing it and my dad who had the other card couldn't come today. Normally, I have no complaints but this was just ridiculous. Next thing you know, I won't be able to pump gas for my mother. For being overpriced, you need to be a little more accommodating.

We have been an executive member for 25+ years. I avoid weekends but went to the Manassas store on Saturday.Busy does not quite describe the store but we managed to maneuver through the store. We stopped to sample a new Feta Dip, since we have never eaten this product. We rarely sample since we avoid weekend shopping at Costco. The product representative was very surly & actually complained about the customers. We tried to be nice & engage in conversation but she was quasi nasty. We finally walked away without a sample. We walked past another demo & the young woman insisted we try the spring rolls. I was not interested but my husband acquiesced. The sample was very good & we purchased a box.Costco should consider hiring real marketeers vs. people who have no customer service skills.

Let's face it. Everyone love shopping at Costco. I had decided to upgrade my membership to Executive Membership last year. My renew came up last week and forgot about it. I shop there weekly at Manassas, Chantilly and Fairfax locations most of the time. My renew came up few days ago when I was there. They told me I MUST pay my renew yearly fee in order for me to check out. I understand the policy completely. Sometime people don't have enough money to pay at the time due to personal reason or budget issue at the moment. Costco seems don't care whatsoever, they just want your renew membership fee before you can check out your grocery even if you are executive membership. They cant even show empathy and allow customer to check out for that day and come back to pay for their fee. I don't get any reminder that my renew is coming up. Costco should go above and beyond by reminding customer at the cashier check out if their renew is coming soon. I am sure Costco can see that when they scan customer card. They can see if you are regular and executive member. They only look for regular membership to ask for upgrade to Executive membership. This is such a terrible customer service. I decided to downgrade my membership to have enough money for check out. They just lost my business as executive member. That is very terrible how Costco treat their members. Costco can do better than that.

Had a terrible experience with Costco Tire Center in Manassas VA. Told it would take 3 to days to get a tire replaced under warranty. Took them 11 days to determine they could not get the tire from there distributor. Had to argue with them to get the tire from another Costco. Then picked up my car and it had damage at the same area where the tire was replaced. Was told management would call me but that has not happened, they are worthless!

I asked them if they had my insurance, he said "I think so" then ran my card. I checked later and we were charged full price instead of the insurance discount, almost 3x the price. I will never go back.
