Tom is reliable and goes out of his way to make sure he takes care of his customers. There has been two times now that I have been in a pinch and on both occasions he has taken me right away to ensure my vehicle is safe and if any work needs to be done he handles it right away. Good, trustworthy mechanics are hard to find, but search no more! Thank you, Tom!

During a routine oil change Tom checked my brakes and found that the back ones were close to wearing out. By replacing them early before they failed saved a much larger bill that would have resulted if they wore through. I appreciate Tom's catching and correcting this problem early.

Outstanding mechanic and always top-rated service. Mr. Hasse is an excellent diagnostician, and is extremely fair in his repair philosophy- if it only needs a small part or wire, he doesn’t order a new engine or transmission. Gets you back on the road fast.Wonderful shop, most highly recommended.

Tom was so wonderful to work with. He was responsive and communicative when I reached out. He scheduled a time with me, greeted me when I arrived and made my son and me feel comfortable in the waiting area- even offering to put on a different show or movie for my son. Tom installed the hitch and wiring harness on my car, made sure it was configured exactly how I wanted it to be, then walked me through exactly what he did, how to use it, and what to consider changing in the future if we need a different setup. I'm so glad we found Tom and his shop. We will be using CARS for all of our mechanic needs from now on!

I’m so happy that my friend from the Senior center recommended me this place. Tom is very friendly and helpful. Showed me what the problem was and fully explained it to me. Terrible customer service, rude and unprofessional. I have no idea how this shop has good reviews. I would not recommend this place. I had a bad experience and hope you don't have bad luck like I did.

I have documented proof as to why you should never use this business, Certified Auto Repair Service (CARS) of Manassas. First, Thomas Haase charged me over 923 dollars, parts and labor, to do the exact same job using the exact same parts that Bill's Auto only charged me 571.02 to do. The only difference in the work is Bill's actually did all of the work. Secondly, based on the price that I was able to get the part for, 13.80, CARS price, 81.38, is marked up 490 percent. Markups on parts are common throughout the auto repair industry and are not illegal, but a 490 percent markup is quite ridiculous. I'm sure many of you will wonder why I had the exact same work done again after only 834 miles. Well, four months after I got my car back, I discovered that CARS didn't do all of the work they charged me for. After gathering evidence to prove it, I took Thomas Haase to court, and he admitted that he didn't do all of the work. The judge awarded him the case because he felt four months was too long even though the statute of limitations for determining fraud is two years. So, I appealed. I had the work done by Bill's Auto and they provided pictures and videos to further prove CARS didn't do all of the work. With this solid evidence in hand, I provided Thomas Haase the evidence thinking he would settle out of court. Boy, was I mistaken! He used the evidence I provided to him to craft a completely different story for the appeal, and the judge bought it. I just want to warn as many people as possible to not fall for this shop the way I did. You and your bank account will regret it. I urge everyone to pass this on to family, friends and associates. A story that never changes is the truth. A story that changes based on circumstance is untruth.I visited this business once before to ask if he installs customer parts. Most auto repair shops won't, but some will. He said no, so I purchased the parts and completed the job myself. I have NEVER been to this shop with incorrect parts. When he claims I came to his shop with all the wrong parts, this is just another example of his dishonesty. Feel free to read the unabridged version of this story at tomrippedmeoff dot info.If I patronize a business and they provide me great service and/or products, I leave them a great review. On the other hand, when a business rips me off the way Thomas Haase did, I am certain to let that be known as well with a negative review. And again, I have documented proof to show that I was ripped off by Thomas Haase of Certified Auto Repair Service.

I have been a customer for 10 plus years. Tom has worked on every vehicle I have owned in that time. 2001 Mazda Tribute, 2017 Hyundai Elantra, 2007 Pontiac G6, 2019 Kia Sorento. He consistently provides high quality service, prices and overall workmanship. He has perfomred every type of maintenance and repair on my vehicles from standard oil changes to a full replacement of and engine including exhaust system. His prices are not only competitive with major repair/maintenance chains but in my specific cases a decent amount lower than quotes I had received. He also has never tried to upsell me or tell me something needed replacement that did not. On one specific occasion he traveled to my house to diagnose an issue that appeared after a repair in order to determine if it was related to said repair or just coincidental.

Walked in with a cracked muffler, an engine light, and needing a state inspection. Tom helped get my car road worthy again. Tom provided fair prices, no BS answers and never tried to up sell. With a great knowledge base of all makes and models and years of experience, Certified Auto should be your first choice. Thank again Tom!

I have been trying to get my car worked on since 6/24/2021 and each time there's some reason why I can't have it worked on, we finally planned to take it there today and had it towed, then the car was refused and that was our one tow. It has been MONTHS. We are moving and the car can't be at this address past the end of the month at this point. This has f###ed us so badly I can't even begin to think about ever going back.

I went to this shop based on the shops reviews. I have some mechanic background. Long story short. The issue I though it was, it was not. Tom explained to me what it was. I never heard of that issue, that it could cause the problem. He showed it to me on the computer how it happens. He is not rushed and takes his time to explain everything. Anyway I went back to the place who installed the tires and explained to them what Tom had told me. Man I got the defensive act from that store. it's not true, it's not possible etc.... I called Tom and had that "tire specialist" talking to Tom. That person did not believe Tom. The person from the tire shop could not answer Tom's questions about the matter. Regardless of the issue. Tom is honest, not trying to sell you something you don't need. He stand behinds his point and backs the customer up. I have not seen that in a very long time at a business. He didn't work on my car. I ended up trading in the car. But he has my and my family's business if I need work done on any car in the future that's the place I will go to. Thanks Tom for the great customer service you provided.
