We had previously used Art Woodstone 10 years earlier when we asked them to build extensive bookcases and cabinets when we finished our basement. When it came time this year to redo our main floor we turned to Tea and George again to do a slightly smaller but unique project to build two wall bookcases that would connect to a fireplace mantle and then two moveable wooden dog crates to fill in the space below the bookcases and to either side of the hearth. From a rough sketch of what the finished concept would look like, they were able to produce a beautiful custom set. It matched our vision exactly. They worked with our primary contractor's lead carpenter to ensure the piece would have good anchoring in the studs behind the drywall. I cannot speak highly enough of their craftsmanship. The bookcase and mantlepiece are beautiful pieces of wood and spectacular to look at. The dog crates are beyond exceptional. The careful work George did to ensure tight joins at the corners and the wooden slats was stunning. Our lead carpenter from the renovation was deeply impressed by the work. As an add on to this effort, they also restored a large wooden partner's desk that has been in our family for over 50 years. Over that time the desk had it's finish worn away in spots, was sunbleached in others, and had corners gnawed on by puppies in the day. They took that shabby mess of a desk and restored to a shine and gleam that is something to behold. AWS is worth every penny that you will pay for their work. True artisans with an eye for detail and a feel for design. Would recommend them EVERY time.

Tea and George are gifted artists and are extraordinary craftsman and craftswoman. The book shelves and cabinets they designed and built for the new extension to our house are beautiful and very functional. George’s particular attention to details and construction are evident in the completed project, even more so given the difficult space in which it was installed. Their professionalism and extraordinary care in the delivery and installation phase were greatly appreciated. We highly recommend Art Woodstone Studio.

Fantastic Craftwork!!! They converted my cheery wood shaker style TV armoire into storage/linen cabinet. I highly recommend them and it was at an affordable price. Plus they picked up and delivered. I am so pleased that I didn't have to get rid of the cabinet and can use it for another use. You don't get this kind of quality craftsmanship now days. A good tradesman is worth their weight in gold. Highly recommend.

These folks are so detailed, good at communication, and do exquisite work. I have had them build 3 pieces of furniture and they are all solid and look great and it does not break the bank the way you would think. They are such kind people as well so it makes dealing with them so pleasant!

This is the third piece of furniture they made for me. They are SO detailed, and such good people. Although creative, they are efficient and organized as well. Every time I have worked with them, it has been a pleasure. I would encourage you to try them out if you have not, and although it is custom, often it is not much more expensive than buying good solid furniture outright and in certain cases cheaper.

What a fantastic experience. George and Tea are so friendly. Before restoration began, we discussed the entire project and looked the piece over with great care. This piece of furniture is 120 years old and had a lot of loose and damaged parts. Now, the piece is solid and exquisitely restored. I never dreamed this cabinet could look so beautiful and it is a testament to true craftsmanship. Their prices are very fair and their overall professionalism is commendable.

I contacted Art Woodstone Studio about making a custom bench with drawers for my den. George and Tea, the owners, came to my townhouse to discuss the project. We discussed the dimensions, design, and they gave an estimate. I had contact with them during the period they were making the bench and we would discuss any needed clarifications. They are very easy to work with. Six weeks later they delivered my bench. The bench is beautiful and I’m well satisfied. I highly recommend Art Woodstone Studio. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of work.

Excellent! George was able to match the wood and stain perfectly and deliver a king side bed that looks exactly like the set was purchased together.
