Brittany is THE BEST consultant! I would know - I went to 5 different bridal shops looking for my dress! I had an amazing experience from start to finish at Diamonds and Pearls thanks to Brittany. She was welcoming, kind, hilarious, and really listened to my likes/dislikes. I felt like I was shopping with a close friend. As a result, I found my dream dress! It came in about 4 months after ordering. Couldn’t recommend this store enough!

I had a wonderful experience purchasing and tailoring my dress. The ladies that work here are so wonderful and energetic about helping you find the dress of your dreams! During my fitting, I tried on several gowns and never felt pressured in any way to make a decision. The first dress I tried was my favorite and I ended up putting it back on at the end, but the shoulder wrapping details made me apprehensive because I didn’t want my arms restricted while dancing at my reception. That’s when Melanie noted that another customer who purchased the dress was able to have the seamstress add small hooks so that the over the shoulder wrap could be tightened and be converted to a strapless dress! It was absolutely perfect!

I started my search for a long-sleeve ballgown nearly a year before my wedding, visiting several bridal shops in Northern VA without success. With just four months left until my big day, I was running out of time and began calling local shops, hoping someone could fit me in. Diamonds and Pearls went above and beyond. They answered my call after hours, even though they were closed, and took the time to share model numbers with me so I could get an idea of their selection. They quickly arranged a time for me to visit, even accommodating my hectic work schedule by opening the shop after hours that same day just for me.
When I arrived, I was amazed by the beautiful selection they had. Every style, color, material, and trend you could imagine was available, and their rack of ballgowns stood out as far superior to what I’d seen elsewhere. Brittany, who had kindly opened the shop for us, immediately began pulling the dresses we had discussed on the phone, along with other styles so I could try various silhouettes. She was incredibly helpful, guiding me through the process of trying on the dresses, envisioning myself in them, and adding accessories like veils and crowns to complete the look.
In the end, I fell in love with a stunning Demetrios ballgown—one I never would have considered if I hadn’t tried it on in their shop. It came with a separate cathedral skirt train that was unlike anything I had seen and left everyone at my wedding speechless. Despite the chaos of wedding planning, shopping for my dress was the least stressful part of the entire process. Brittany was kind, knowledgeable, and supportive. The dress selection was incredible, the prices were competitive, and I left feeling completely confident in my choice.
I’ve recommended Diamonds and Pearls to so many brides, and I’ll continue to do so. Their level of professionalism, kindness, and class is unmatched. Thank you to the entire team for making my dream princess ballgown a reality and for playing such a special part in my wedding day.

Let me start by saying that the owner, Melanie, and her two-woman team are just wonderful, from their cheerful smiles to their positive vibes, and their dress selection is absolutely stunning! I was instantly greeted and invited to look around the second I walked in the door. The fun really started when I arrived for my appointment a few days later! I knew some of the things that were on my “must have” and “don’t want” list, and we went from there. It’s amazing how many dresses you can try on in 90 minutes! They ranged from lacy to frilly, needle-worked to bedazzled, and all of them had their own unique notes of fun and elegance. And ALL the trains were jaw-dropping! Melanie was so helpful in picking the dresses, helping me change in/out of them, keeping track of favorites, and offering insight into actually wearing the dress for the big day (rather than for just a few minutes). There was one I instantly fell in love with as soon as I put it on (lacey, with hand-embroidered flowers, off the shoulder waterfall-type sleeves, and a very sexy slit), but with both of us having older parents, I wanted to pay homage to the classy Vogue style that would honor them. I describe my dress as Elizabeth Taylor-style, like in the old perfume commercials. It’s strapless, glittery, and has a layered lace bottom half, like I’m walking in clouds. It’s just amazing! It makes me feel like a princess…not the Disney kind, like Daddy’s princess. I couldn’t be happier at how it blends classic styles with modern looks and materials. My whole experience was just euphoric, especially between the stress of wedding planning. I couldn’t be happier! And ladies, when you go, don’t forget to bring some champagne to celebrate!!!

Brittany was an absolutely amazing bridal consultant. She was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. She helped me identify why I liked a dress and gave me the language to explain what I liked. She also was great at pulling dress options based on my (often vague) feedback. This was my favorite bridal shop that I visited in the DC/NOVA area.

Wow - I cannot say enough amazing things about the establishment!!The owner was so good to us - we could be loud, and excited hyping up the bride while dress shopping and have lots of fun without worrying about incurring extra costs on our tight budget.Such a beautifully run small business.The owner takes one bridal dress fitting at a time which takes the pressure off of being around others during your special moment!Friendly notes:**Careful typing the address into Google maps, Apple Maps and Waze.**In the D.M.V area, the directions are alpha-numeric and most clocks run on military time.Please be mindful of the crosswalks, and the scooter riders that are site seeing.Walking on foot is long and the city plan runs alpha numeric, alpha phonetic along the city lines. Can be confusing but easier for the service members to read as everyone is near the main military bases.The left side of the highway is for u-turns.Right side of the way is for exits. There’s an express lane similar to the NYC HOV lane for large cars, SUVS, buses, and motorcades.Stay safe & healthy everybody. ☮️✌?

I cannot recommend Diamonds & Pearls enough! They were so flexible in finding an appointment time that worked best for us and accommodating my family and bridesmaids who joined me. The store is lovely, and I felt in such good hands as soon as we started looking. They were so attentive and thoughtful and I loved the entire process. Melanie and Brittany took the time to learn exactly what I was looking for, and it only took trying on a few dresses to find the perfect one!
