I recently had to bring my beloved fur baby Reno to VRCC for significant health issues, and I cannot express enough how amazing the doctors at VRCC were throughout the entire process. From the moment we stepped into the hospital, we were greeted with warmth and compassion from the staff, which immediately put us at ease. But it was the doctors (Dr. Clarke and Dr. Fallin) at VRCC who truly stood out to me. They were not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but they also showed a genuine love and passion for their work. It was evident that they had not forgotten why they chose the veterinary medical profession, and that was to help and heal animals. This was a refreshing reminder, especially in a world where healthcare can sometimes feel cold and impersonal. What impressed me the most about the doctors at VRCC was their dedication to providing the best care for Reno. They didn't just run unnecessary tests or procedures for the sake of it, but instead, they carefully and thoughtfully considered the best course of action for her specific condition. They explained everything in detail and made sure I understood the treatment plan and any potential risks. But what truly touched my heart was how the doctors made themselves available to talk and provide advice at such a critical time in my pet's life. They never made me feel like I was bothering them, even when I had a million questions or concerns. They were patient, kind, and empathetic, which meant the world to me during such a stressful and emotional time. Thanks to the amazing doctors Edward Fallin and Jeff Clarke at VRCC, my baby Reno received the best possible care, and I am happy to say that she is now back to her happy self. I cannot thank them enough for their expertise, compassion, and dedication to their patients. They truly went above and beyond, and I will forever be grateful to them. As a side note, I live two hours away and would drive that distance again and again! In conclusion, if you ever find yourself in need of veterinary care for your furry family member, I highly recommend VRCC and their team of amazing doctors. They are truly one of a kind, and I am so grateful to have had them by my side during such a difficult time. Thank you, VRCC doctors, for all that you do. You are truly amazing!

I love them! I took my dog there because she had something stuck in her throat and they were so quick and patient. They were all so helpful and nice.

Dr Fallin and staff were able to diagnose my dog's mystery illness and treat her accordingly. I thought I was going to lose her but she has improved and still with me. This team really know their stuff!

Was referred by urgent care to this hospital. Staff & doctors were very caring & professional. When I picked my pup up the next day, she wanted to stay with the doctor! That’s how caring they were. Great care, fair prices, they saved my puppies life.

Hours are not correct on Google maps. They are no longer open on weekends. They have signs up once you’ve driven there saying they are closed. Really should update Google hours so people don’t waste their time.

Could not have asked for better care and advice on my elderly dog. I could come up with a million words but the best one is TRUST.

We brought in our dog who was actively hemorrhaging only to be put in a holding room for over 2 hours with multiple attempts asking for a vet to at least look at our dog. There was no place of comfort for our boy...only a cold tile floor. When the vet evaluated our dog, she told us that he needed a blood transfusion, but their supply "was spoken for" by another dog and no other emergency clinic had enough. The vet raced our decision, raced our goodbyes and then immediately took our dog away from us. She banged his outstretched bandaged leg in the doorframe and then again did the same thing getting him back to the restricted area. It was a very painful last glimpse of our beloved dog. We have used this practive in the past for cardiac care, but do NOT recommend it for emergency services. We left feeling that this place was cold & heartless. No one said they were sorry or sympathetic at the front desk either as we paid that final bill. Very disappointed and having continued nightmares of that time.

Woke up to my puppy having a 104 fever and hyperventilating. So I put him in the shower with cold water and rushed him here. The vet tech was very rude and condescending so I left and went to another emergency vet. Her attitude cost them my business.

How are you supposed to be an emergency vet and you have set hours? Do animals only get sick during these hours

The staff at the entrance were extremely helpful and attentive! When I arrived they immediately came outside to assist me with my dog and assist my husband with his oxygen. After meeting everyone including the doctor it was a relief to know my dog was in caring hands. They called me after we left to give me information on how I could find assistance to help pay for surgery. Ultimately decided to go a non-surgical route but my experience here was much better than at other Vets.

We have been going there for years. Our dog had to have knee surgery which turned out great. Plus we've had to take our pups for emergency services. Lastly our oldest pup sees Dr. Fallin for a specific disease. He always explains everything and offers advice when we have questions. He is so kind and a great doctor. The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. They are wonderful.

This place is amazing!!I'm new to the area, and have not established a primary vet yet. My cat became suddenly ill, and after being turned away from every Vet in the city - I did some more research and found this hidden gem.First, the staff is amazing. They took my pets information on the phone and my cat instantly got a room when I arrived. The staff were all very informative and comforting. They were also very kind and nice to talk to.Dr. Van Beek was so kind. She was very knowledgeable, and very caring. She explained all my options very thoroughly, and was very transparent on pricing. Which to my surprise, were very reasonable for an emergency vet. After day 1, I had to go back the following day. Since it was an active case I did not get charged for another emergency visit per their 24 hour policy. Again, I got a room very quickly (even though it was a Saturday)- and they took amazing care of my kitty.I would highly highly recommend this vet because you can tell that they care!!

I would definitely recommend them, they took my puppy in after being told he had parvo and because they're so great they were able to figure out he didn't and helped me with his after care and answered any questions i had. I appreciate them so much for turning my terrible week into a very much better one. my pup is doing amazing!

I can't say enough about this place. My dog got kicked in the head by a horse and almost died and they saved her life. They also did a beautiful skin graft surgery on another dog who got a piece of wire wrapped around her leg and had Scar Tissue build up. They are compassionate caring and reasonably priced

This place has the most knowledgeable staff and is always so compassionate! Im so sad they are understaffed and have to turn pets away! I can't recommend this place enough! Amazing place! Please don't take your pets to Virginia vet center in Carytown, they don't care about you or your pet and the place is disgusting! See pics in my review of them!
