“I drove a few miles down the road from another USPS location because the line was so long and not moving at all. I will be making this my go-to post office from now on! Y’all have a true treasure in Diane (sorry if I’m misspelling it), she was so helpful and personable. All the shipping boxes were well stocked and organized, there were pens and sharpies that actually worked, it was awesome.”

“After having 2 other passport appointments cancelled at the Ridge Branch due to "staffing issues", I decided to make the drive out to Rockville. Great decision! I was in and out in 20 minutes.”

“Just look for the little brick building that's shaped like a monopoly house! The Oilville post office is small but mighty. On Route 250, you may have overlooked it, if it hadn't been for the huge sign by the road! It's tucked aways back off the main road with a few parking spots, and a flagpole out front proudly waving the ol' red, white and blue. Inside is bright and clean, well stocked packaging center, post office boxes for rent. Anthony Trollope, prominent writer of the Victorian Era, mid-1800's, is given credit to the widespread of neighborhood mailboxes at the corners of the London streets. This creative idea then spread to America! In London, the boxes were originally green but they blended in with the scenery too well, so the "pillar boxes" were then painted bright red so they can be seen from afar. Here in the states, street boxes were also painted an olive drab green, but in 1955, the colors were changed to red, white & blue. Then, in 1971, the US Postal Service, decided to change them to the deep royal blue we see today! Anthony Trollope is a man of letter for sure!! Lobby hours are 9:30-4:30 M-F, and 9:00-12:00 Sat. Money orders, standard services, stamps, but no passport services. Local # (804)784-3624. They break for lunch, so call ahead. With the larger post offices overloaded due to the pandemic and the holiday season, this tiny mail center a great alternative if you want to avoid long lines! The residents in Goochland County know that the Oilville post office is one slick business!!”

“Staff were friendly, polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. I came in around 10a on a Tuesday to get a package put together and shipped, gentleman at the counter packaged it for me. Took 5 minutes. The service here when I’ve gone has always been consistent and it’s definitely my preferred location in Midlothian compared to others nearby.”

“I had my wallet stolen 12/23 at the Verizon Store in West Chester Commons. I live in Boston now so I was without ID, Credit Cards, money that was in my wallet etc. I had to have my husband send my passport to me from Boston as I had no way to get home. Needless to say it’s been very aggravating few days especially being Christmas. I have been sick and unable to go to the Drs due to no ID. I was trying to track my passport but was unsuccessful. I had tried to call the post office to see when my passport would arrive so I would know whether I would be able to keep my flight tonight. I decided to go directly to the post office this am at Sycamore Square in Midlothian. I had the pleasure of talking to Kendra. She was able to tell me that it was on the plane and when they expected it at the post office. I have to say she went above and beyond to help me! Kudos to her! Once again thank you Kendra from the bottom of my heart! You were an angel to me today.”

“I went to PO after hours tonight, bought Priority Mail postage for 3 packages and put them in the mail. Yikes I immediately realized I had mistakenly swapped 2 of the prepaid labels!! Just then a night employee came out, was willing to listen to my story, retrieved the packages and helped me put the labels on correctly… and with a smile the whole time!! I wish I had gotten her name because she gave me amazing service! What a nightmare it could have been otherwise!! I’ll use this Regency USPS on Starling Dr as my primary PO from now on!”
