This Food Lion is not the closest to where we live but it's bigger and has a wider selection of products. It also has a few self check lines if you only have a few items.

On a Sunday evening with over 100$ in groceries was forced to use self checkout because no cashiers were on duty. There was very little reason other than just a convenient location to continue using food lion but that was the push I needed to just switch to Publix.

I love Food Lion. They are everywhere and have a decent selection of gluten free foods and their bathrooms are always clean.

This Food Lion is clean, the staff is helpful, and they generally seem to be well stocked. Today they had small rib roasts for $20 and large pork bottoms for $20. That seems a good price to me.

Am loyal customer at Manakin Sabot Food Lion. Used self checkout today to ring up and bag approx. $200s worth of food...only to be asked by the 'observer employee' to hurry up because a man behind me was waiting to ring up 2 items. Really? That's customer appreciation for you. She'd been kinder to ask to help me bag my items if I was holding up the line.
