July 2024 by AA Self Storage Madison Heights VA
I have NOT received or had my mail picked up since this past Tuesday June 18th, 2024. (Today is Friday June 21st, 2024) I had placed mail in my mailbox around 9:30 a.m. and have seen multiple carriers past my location multiple times a day. My red flag has been up the WHOLE time. This is not even close to the first time this has happened. My mailbox is in clear view of the road right underneath our big business sign that is yellow with red lettering so hard to miss yet they can't stop missing our mailbox. I have made multiple complaints to the Madison Heights, Virginia post office with this same situation happening multiple times now. To NO avail. I am in charge of a business with over 400 customers that some would like their invoices and other mail to be delivered to them. I unfortunately have to rely on your service to complete this task, but your service is severely lacking! When I need to send my mail certified I go to the Lynchburg office to avoid the terrible customer service provided by the Madison Heights location. The entire staff there needs to be changed. Just look at your Google reviews for this location and you will see that I am not alone having these issues.

Love the Madison Heights Post Office, as much as I love the Concord Post Office both offices have the nicest staff ever.

Dropped 30+ packages at this location two days ago still have yet to be scanned in not a single one. No help from employee at front. Dropped packages at the Amherst location they get scanned immediately. I have angry customers thinking I haven’t shipped their packages so happy I work hard get my things out in time all so people at the post office can chit chat in the back instead of scan packages.

Apparently postal delivery people can not read. Neighbors have a new person living in their house or camper with same last name. They are 218 and i am 214. My mail is not making it back to the PO OR TO MY BOX. No way to contact local folk, have to go to a computer nightmare.

On 3/9/2023 an important package, very large, was left at my mailbox on top of my old newspaper box. On the label it was distinctly marked to leave package at my front door. This was not done. I am disabled and it is very difficult to get to get to my mailbox, also anyone could have ridden by and stolen my package. I am very dissatisfied with my mail delivery person from Madison Heights Post Office. This is not the first time I have had a complaint about this driver. Something needs to be done or I shall begin to hold Madison Heights Post Office as well as the delivery person for my address, liable for anything that is stolen, missing or destroyed of my mail until they can follow simple instructions on where to leave my packages.

I don't understand how this branch continues. Worst mail delivery service I have seen in my 63 years. Mail might come today at 9:30 a.m., but tomorrow it will be 5:00! Myself and my neighbors are constantly playing musical mailboxes because the mail carrier puts mail in the wrong boxes. If I put a letter in my box to go out, it may be 2-3 days before the carrier takes it. And I believe we have a new carrier at least every week. I have had several packages delivered, and the carrier will not bring it to my door! Instead, they sit in vehicle and honk the horn till I come out! Unbelievable level of laziness at a governmental organization!

It's a government run organization. No one answers the phone. No live help on the 1-800 number and half the time they don't deliver packages due to animals in my driveway. Apparently the neighbors are using my driveway as a petting zoo when I'm at work since I only have a goldfish or maybe the goldfish is up to something.

They have this one Lady working doing everything by herself! Not only was there a line out the building but there were appointments waiting. I understand short staff but this is poor organization. If you don’t have the staff to cover everything then don’t offer everything! Days like this I understand why businesses can’t keep employees! The pressure she was under I would have walked out! This is horrible working conditions!

Every time I go into the post office which is at least once a week I get the worst service. Patricia who usually waits on me is always very rude and seems like she hates her job. I will not be going back to this post office I will take my business down to the Monroe post office where I am greeted with a smile and kindness.

Very poor delivery service in the past 6 months. My mail often is delivered to another address. My packages are often marked "on hold" or "delivery attempted" when in fact I'm home. Then the post office has the nerve to tell me to come and pick them up. I've asked for proof of mail hold and they lie about it. And then there's the rude postmaster who isn't interested in correcting their errors.

I was there today. The Caucasian lady with curly brown hair at the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional. She treated me unlike any other customers she catered to while I was there. The package I sent consisted of essentials that my cousins doesn’t has access to in NewYork City, while she is tirelessly working as a doctors to save lives. The front desk lady first suggested that the package being sent can only be sent priority, not an issue, I rolled with it, regardless of the fact that over last few months I have sent numerous care packages to my deployed husband and to my family. May be she did that because her scale was malfunctioning. Then she skipped the part where I could double check and approve the mail to address, and instead accused me of skipping the part on the touch screen. I always request for an confirmation email and she blamed me for skipping that part too. Then, when I confronted her that the label she printed was blank, she says that the she did not know why the system was doing that. Lo behold when I get home and check the receipt the zip code input by her was incorrect. Now not only I have to wonder if the package will ever make it to my family who desperately needs it but always wonder why was I mistreated? I am not oblivious to the USPS procedures, however it was apparent that I was being mistreated because of my ethnicity, because I was the only one treated that way while I was there. I do understand that these are troubling times, however it doesn’t give anybody an excuse to mistreat others like such. I am extremely disappointed, and from today onwards I will drive extra few miles to skip this location when I need USPS services.
