Stopped in once, the staff were kinda rude and no fountain drinks. I don't drink a lot of soda, but I do drink a lot of ice water, no fountain, no ice. No money from me. Plus I'm not a fan of rude people. Probably better if I don't go to this spot. On the plus side, after at least 4 years they finally got a sign that has the gas prices on it!!

Been in Madison Heights all my life. I remember when Sav-A-Ton gas station, just a single wide short trailer with 6 pumps was where Smile Gas is now! It's always been kind of like the "meeting up place" for our community. Everyone knows where it is, just about everyone knows the people that work there, as they are from Madison Heights, as well. So, you say , "Hey, I'll meet you Smile in an hour and we'll make plans from there"! It's the last gas station headed into Lynchburg from any direction off rt 29, and the first one coming back into Hogtown. It has just about anything you want, hot food, cold soda fountain, dairy products, beer, wine-coolers, lottery, poker machines, all your car fluid needs, gas-of course, some days the service could be more friendly, but hey, we've known them forever and they are no different now than 20 years ago. You get use to it! So, stop by, get your gear 9n, and have a great day!
