I have always loved this place but it really discouraged me when there was a man in the kitchen with DIRTY clothes on that looked like he had just rolled in dirt. After that I didn't feel safe eating my food.

Just stopped in for a few dogs and potato wedges and for a place that claims famous hotdogs all i got was a soggy mess. I ordered 4 dogs all the way , light slaw / light chili for the least soggy dog possible. What i got was their standard wet mess they dumped slaw juice and loaded slaw on the dog and regular chili which equals a bun so wet the weenie falls out of the bottom also the potato wedges were old as crap never again dont waste your time go to texas inn.

This location used to be our go to until the last time we got burgers we noticed the guy taking them out of a pan of water then just heating it up on the grill. Your prices are way too high to be cooking burgers and letting them sit in water...make then fresh or dont make them at all. I'd rather wait a few extra minutes and have a fresh burger than have one cooked earlier in the day.

You can't beat a Moores dog. Although I think next time I'm gonna see if they can not steam the bun. When I get to the second dog sometime the first the moisture in the bun makes the dog split out the bottom then you have a mess.

I love Moore's Hotdogs with chili and mustard, I always stop into this Moore's location at least twice a well to pick up a hot dog. They can get packed and take awhile to prepare the food, but I LOVE the staff there because they're all so friendly.

If you're not getting food it's just a waste of time. It's too crowded and the workers only care about restaurant side of the store. It's impossible to just get in and out of there. I stood at the register for a couple minutes with out even being acknowledged. I then went down the street and spent $70 at the other gas station getting sodas and gas. More then a five dollar lunch combo for sure. Not smart business. I will make sure to avoid them from now on.

Holy crap you get a lot of food for $2.78 (check out the picture I posted)! I went here for breakfast on the way back to NYC after a weekend camping wedding in the Virginia countryside (yes, you read that right, a camping wedding: where most of the guests camped overnight in tents in the back yard of the farm house of the bride's parents... and yes, it was awesome! even though I ended peeling 7 ticks off my body at the end. But I didn't get Lyme disease -- yay!). Anyway, Moore's Country Store is one of these stores that you see attached to a gas station, except that it's also a mini-diner! So they had all the junk food you'd expect from a store attached to a gas station, but they also had quite a bit of short-order diner-type food, including eggs with bacon and toast and steak fries that was sooooo much food that if you ate it at just the right time, you just might not need to eat much else. The people were also super nice, they were more than happy to let me substitute one item for another because they didn't have one of the items that was in a combo platter, and they brought it to my booth when it was ready (less than 5 minutes).

I have to give 5 stars for the hot dog chili alone. I usually have mine with mustard, onions, chili and slaw. It is a very, very Hot...Hot dog. If you don't like to sweat (or if you call it perspiration)....Then don't get the chilli... (wuss)! I simply love it...

Best hot dog around. This Moore's was just opened August of 2010 and is just as tasty as the other on Richmond Hwy..
