Whenever I come by to purchase, sell or pawn I am always taken great care of no matter the circumstances. The staff are super friendly fun and welcoming and that means a lot in a place of business. Thank you to all the great staff.

They are liars!I went in to take my HK 40 usp into them to sell and they offered me 350 and said that was all they could give as it was 75 percent of what they could get for it. Claiming that they could only get “about 450 max for it in the condition it was in. Then I had a friend of mine call the next day to see how much they were selling it for due to the fact that I had the slightest feeling from the body language from the owner and the associate at the gun counter that they were ripping me off. Long story short they were.Here’s a bit of details about the gun. The slide retainer pin was a bit rusty because I had to get a replacement for it. “Why was it rusty” you may ask. Well, in January of last year, it was stolen disassembled from my home in Lynchburg Virginia. I fought and fought to hunt down the people responsible for it. Long story short, I got my gun back. I told this to the people at the pawn shop. That gun meant a lot to me. Living where I did downtown, I had a lot of experiences where I almost got killed and that gun protected me. I didn’t want to let it go but I know it was now connected to a federal court case and I just wanted to wipe my hands clean of it. They knew how I felt about it and they took advantage of it and used me. I knew I was right when I read their body language and it was one glance from the associate to the owner that I realized that they were cheating me. I had no choice but to sell it to wash my hands of it so I sold it. When the gun was stolen, they stole all the pieces minus the slide pin. So I bought one off eBay that was a bit rusty. They gave me 350 for it and are selling it for 699.Their business makes me disgusted.

Was VERY pleased with L Oppleman and the help they provided me.I purchased a custom-made engagement ring with them and they were honest, helpful, and ended up making exactly what I was looking for.If you go in knowing exactly what you want with a specific budget, they will ensure you leave with exactly what you're looking for. Very grateful for their work and will be returning to purchase a wedding band for the ring I ended up purchasing from them.

Five stars for fretted instruments, with an incredible collection of guitars and basses, and for the non-fretted, a half dozen lap steels. A must-see, being the oldest operating pawn shop in the US.

This pawnshop is where you can find not only a ton of musical, electronics and jewelry but they also have bizarre interesting items and antiques which is what I shop for. If you like vinyl you can spend an hour going through old vinyl records amd CDs. Staff are all friendly and Jean (not sure of spelling) and Ryan know a lot about gems and diamond jewelry. They will often cut you a deal where they have room. They are fair and honest and treat you like family when you visit a lot which I suggest because their inventory changes. They are experts at vintage video games and equipment .

I was shopping around and my wife asked if we should check this pawn shop out. I am glad we made the trip. I talked to a guy named Don. Super nice guy. Was treated like a friend and he let me try out the guitar. I was not pressured in anyway about buying it. My wife talked to Don about the guitar with case and what kind of deal he could give us. I thought it was a great deal, bought the guitar and cannot put it down. There is alot of nice guitars hanging up in their shop. I am totally satisfied with the guitar and I know I will be back again. Thanks to their staff. See Don if your looking for music equipment, he will do ya right!

It's nothing but good things to say about this place Megan and Mike can't say how much and respectful I appreciate them and this place. They work prices out and even tho it may not seem right they negotiate prices! I've been a customer on and off and they never let me down.
