“Please keep doing what you're doing...making downtown Lynchburg a place with lots to see and do, whether you live here or are just visiting. We need lots more, but this is the right direction. More ppl need to know what downtown Lynchburg offers.”

It's a beautiful campus, again its PRIVATELY OWNED-----> They run many programs out of this location that work with the local people, and kids in the area. Lots is going on here.***Be respectful of the grounds so that they can remain open to the public. ***”
“This place is the best for pets. They will go out of their was to help them. They even take the time to get to know the animals and know them by name. I foster for them and recommend it to anyone who has ever thought about it. They are there to help and answer any questions or concerns. They give you supplies and make it easy.”

124 Liberty Mountain Dr, Lynchburg“We have nothing but great things to say about Family Life Services. Their team truly cares about each of their families and takes the time to make you feel valued. Deanne is always prompt when responding to questions and has exceeded our expectations with her help doing our homestudy.”
“JFC has been a tremendous help to our family. The staff there are great, grateful for the LU students who help there as well. There summer program is much great. They have plenty of activities and accountability for children to do well in school.”
“The Staff and Volunteers of Parkview genuinely care about the community they serve. Friendly, kind, and generous with that which they have to steward. Also a great place to volunteer, donate, or contribute to our city.”
“Overall, it is a good place. A great time to visit is right after Liberty lets out for Summer break—lots of great stuff. Also, Sundays are a great time to go. They drop prices on clothes.”
“As an employee, I've enjoyed the incredible culture at PHFS for over 3 years - it's a place that values strengths and coaches weaknesses as areas of growth. The counseling has also been phenomenal for my children... Kayla rocks!!!”

620 Court St, Lynchburg“All members of the testing team are wonderful. It is extremely easy to gain access to free and confidential HIV and Hepatitis C testing. They have plenty of free condoms, lubricants, and educational materials.”
“This is probably my favorite YMCA. I am originally from the West Coast and have been to YMCAs in 15+ states. This one is TOP notch.
The location is clean and the staff seem to really love their jobs. I use the sauna, which is always clean. The work out equipment (weights and cardio equipment) is great. We have various options for working muscle groups or getting a good cardio sweat. Again, everything in these areas are so clean. Zumba, Yoga, Body Pump/Functional Fitness -- they are all phenomenal classes. The instructors seem happy to be present and motivated to make all of us work! I've heard great things (while sitting in the sauna) from the gals who participate in the water based classes but have yet to try it out. On weekends sometimes I bring kiddos to play in the indoor pool which has a slide and water dumping buckets (check the schedule for exact time these are open); it's a HIT.
I know I've mentioned it but the staff here love their jobs and it plays out wonderfully when you have a question about a sore muscle group, new exercise or even a lost water bottle. Everyone is helpful and engaged.
GREAT place to exercise and connect with people in our community. 5 stars!”
