My first time buying a car at CarMax was awesome! I found exactly what I wanted and it was shipped to the Lynchburg CarMax in a week. I test drove the car and drove it off the lot with in 2 hours.

The process was simple, and the employees were friendly. The vehicle, however, needed to be cleaned better inside. There was ketchup or something similar on the center console, goldfish crackers and trash in the second-row captain's seats, a stain on the carpet near the third-row seats, and other gunk on interior surfaces.

Found a car I loved but it was in Ohio. I am located in Virginia. For a very fair price, it was shipped to our city Starmax location. Once there, car was serviced and ready for us within a week. The actual buying process went well. Everyone we worked with was very helpful, and made for a smooth process. We were very happy with Starmax from the start to finish. Love, love, love my new car!!

Everyone was exceedingly polite and professional. I want to thank everyone that was involved. I have told neighbors and friends and even the Uber driver who took me home what a great experience it was.

So far, no good. Been sitting waiting for service in the lobby for 45 min, being told it would be another 10-20 minutes each time I ask. There are only 2 customers here already being helped, and another 4-5 employees standing around chit-chatting and trying on sunglasses, telling me there's nobody available now. I would really hate to see how long it would take if this place was actually busy...

They gave us the best price on the vehicle we were looking to sell by quite a bit. We planned to go elsewhere to purchase a car with that money but it was almost too easy to buy a car from their lot. All-in-all, it was a good experience (as good of an experience as one can have when purchasing a car).

Just traded in my old GMC Acadia for a nice '20 Kia Sorento today. I've purchased a significant number of vehicles in my lifetime - hands down this was the most pleasant, stress-free, and efficient car buying experience ever! No "game playing" and slight of hand by any of the kind and informative sales reps - as they're not struggling to seek a commission, game me exactly what was estimated in trade-in value, reviewed the complete in-house work performed on my new vehicle to ensure it was in top condition, and as the process was so completely transparent, no back and forth stall tactics seeking a "sales manager's approval" of a "deal". I've walked out of dealerships in the past when such tactics proved disrespectful of my time and intelligence. These guys and gals secured my future business. So refreshing to observe true integrity and honesty find it's way into the car shopping experience!

Paid for additional insurance(5k), after 6 months told they no longer do periodic maintenance on site. Outsourced to random shops, the first (was told by Carmax who scheduled it)8 to 2 availability, the shop called said they were booked a week in advance from the day i was told they were available. Rescheduled same day with another shop (through Carmax again because of the package i paid for), arrived to find they never received an appointment scheduling it. Never bothering doing business with this company again, the package i paid for was 5k additional on top of the car price for mechanic/maintenance work.

One of my best car purchases ever! CarMax cares about your experience with them. How can you beat a 30 day return policy and a 4000 mile or 3 months warranty with any vehicle. You owe it to yourself & family to give CarMax a try before you buy! ?

So I purchased my used vehicle the first week of February. It wasn't the vehicle I had originally planned on purchasing but ended up being a better deal and vehicle for me. My salesmen/contacts were Wesley and Rich and they were great from start to finish. When I took the vehicle for a test drive, the tires needed air. Wesley took care of that and we went for the test. We came back and finished up the paperwork and off I went. The next day I noticed that I didn't see a trailer hitch on the back of the vehicle (which it was advertised to have). A quick call to Rich and he arranged for me to have a hitch installed on the vehicle. Fast forward a week and I started having issues with the tire pressure and/or sensors. Another quick call to Wesley and they arranged to have all the tire sensors replaced. A few days after the hitch install and tire sensor replacement, I once again started having issues with the tire pressure in 3 of 4 tires. Another quick call and they got me back in to check the sensors. They inspected and resealed the tire sensors and, so far, I haven't had any other issues. The team at the Lynchburg,VA CarMax are pros in their field. I am a loyal car buyer and tend to be a repeat customer if I feel like I'm being treated fairly. These guys (and gals) will definitely be seeing me again. They definitely put the customer first and go above and beyond in customer service. Give these guys a chance. You won't be disappointed!!!
