I have been getting my nails done here since I was in college and it’s been such a treat. Coco usually does mine and she does a beautiful job! So attentive to detail, and makes your nails look perfect. She’s incredibly personable and I always leave loving my nails!

I Asked for a gel polish change on toes and nails. I had noted on the price list toes $15 color change, nails $12. Okay, so usually there is a slight upcharge for gel and/or French polish. No listing on their price board for either upgrade. In my past experience at 50 other nail salons across VA, I’ve been charged $5 extra to add French color polish. I get done and these ladies (who hardly speak any English) tell me $70 dollars! I question how she figured that up? $10 extra, $10 extra, $10 extra, $10 extra. I ask for her manager. They speak in another language to each other. I tell her these upcharges are not listed on their price board. I am then told “you should have asked”. HA! I am the consumer, not the business owner! The right of the consumer is to be fully informed of the charges of any service they are paying for prior to paying. Just as in a restaurant if you ask for something that is an upcharge, the waitress discloses that to you. This is a slimy and shady business. I would think twice about coming here and if you do it’s your responsibility as the consumer, not theirs as the owners to cover YOUR bases. They will most certainly NOT do their job!

I moved to Bedford from Richmond a few years ago and have STRUGGLED to find a decent nail salon that did a good job with my nails a coworker recently recommended this place and they did not disappoint from the customer service the job on my nails it’s self and the complementary little massage they give you beats any nail salon I’ve visited in Richmond Lucas did my nails and def took his time and they turned out beautiful will definitely be back!!

This was my 1st time getting my nails done at AL Nails today. I have several friends who go there and have had great experiences, so I decided to give them a try. I got a powder dip French manicure by Leo. My nails look fabulous and I had a great experience as well! Will definitely be back!

I truly like this place but recently had a subpar experience. The young lady may have been new that did my pedicure. She did not properly remove my cuticles or exfoliate my feet. She didn’t file my nails so they were all uneven. She massaged my ankles until they hurt. It looked so bad after she added polish I asked her to remove it and just give me a clear top coat. I expressed my disappointment quietly and without incident. As a normal customer they know I always get both my nails and toes done. I got a very basic nail set and was charged $145. I’ve had more done and paid less. Paying that much for a botched pedicure was upsetting. I love my nail tech but I felt I was gouged because I complained. I probably won’t get my pedicures done there again.

This my go-to place. They use excellent products that stay on my nails. I have a gel manicure once a month and people are constantly complimenting me on my beautiful nails. I tried several places when i moved here 3 years ago and no place compares with Al Nails. Thank you for great service!

They were very accommodating with our party of 4 pedicures for girls night. We all felt rushed and the foot massage hurt because he put pressure on only one part of my leg and nothing else. Also had a timer on his lap to make sure he was on time and not a minute over, not a personable experience at all. Got little to none of my cuticles. Also he left my toes at all different lengths, for the price i paid (45$) + tip I expected a better job.
Cleanliness: Used a new foot file out of a packet.

Zoe did a great job and was super quick which I appreciated! The only “negative” I’d say is I feel like there could’ve been a little more thorough on my heels. But I very much appreciated the extra things they do like a quality calf massage and a little shoulder massage while getting your nails done. Also LOVE that they give you a leg block to rest when they are working on your calves/heels, etc.
