Rashmi always makes me feel so beautiful! I tell her what I want and she makes it happen! I am very anxious and I feel good with her. We will talk casually but any silence is also comfortable with her! I really grateful to have found someone who can make me feel pretty and also relaxed.

I was in desperate need of some volume, bounce, and bright blonde highlights the glowed. I needed to get in quick and they got me in within a day. Johana took wonderful care of me. She was so easy to bond with and took her time with me to make sure my hair was evenly dyed and thoroughly dyed. I gave her such a broad spectrum to work with and she gave me hair that brought me tears of joy. I’m really glad I found this place and will definitely be putting the life of my hair in her hands.

Rashmi is amazing! She listens and works with your needs. I love that she doesn’t push things on her customers. A top notch salon in the neighborhood- can’t ask for better. I always get compliments on my hair.

Rashmi at Salon Allure Lovettsville is truly fantastic in hair coloring and haircut styling. I've been going for coloring for ~2 years and her professionalism and friendly approach always create a fantastic salon experience. Rashmi always delivers a vibrant and natural look that exceeds expectations for my color. I generally go into DC for haircuts but due to a recent time constraint, I had my hair cut by Rashmi. She was also great at knowing the right length and style to cut, while managing my especially hard-to-manage bangs. The distance, cost, and expertise are a huge plus for me and having a local stylist for both styling and coloring is a huge benefit. I highly recommend Rashmi to anyone that's looking for a great experience!

I had a cut and highlight today with Rashmi and it’s always been a great experience! I love that I don’t have to block out ours of my day to get highlights! An hour and a half later, I’m happy to be “blonde” again. Thanks Rashmi!

I am not someone who normally leaves bad reviews but I feel that the service at Salon Alure was barely acceptable on my wedding day. By the time we left for the wedding (late), I felt awful because the stylist was so stressed and in a rush with my hair and makeup.I booked bridal hair and makeup for myself and 9 bridesmaids on a Saturday morning, 8:30-2pm. We showed up and only one stylist, Rashmi, was there for the first 1.5 hours and then one additional stylist showed up at 10am. Rashmi had told me that she would have three stylists there to make sure everyone's hair and makeup was done in time. Instead, it was rushed and Rashmi was extremely stressed. My hair did not end up looking like it did during the trial (which was also rushed) because she forgot the extensions that I had specifically bought for the updo. I reminded her to put in one set, which she did put in, but then she forgot the remaining 4 extensions and rushed the twists/braiding. Rashmi did most of our makeup in a dark corner of the salon, and only turned on appropriate lighting when I requested it for my makeup.If you book bridal services at this salon, I recommend requesting a different stylist and making sure that they do the entire makeup trial. I only received a $20 discount for the makeup trial being cut very short (only picking colors, no testing of eyeliners, eyebrow shapes, etc), and ended up unsatisfied with how my makeup turned out. My false lashes kept coming partially undone. Rashmi did not seem to have much training as a makeup stylist.I want to support Rashmi and enjoyed talking with her about biology careers, as her daughter plans to go to university in my field. But at the same time, this should not happen to future brides. I hope that this business considers my experiences and improves the bridal services offered at their salon.Services: Bridal services

I have been going here since they opened, and they are wonderful. They do a great job, listen to what the customer is asking for, are clear on the price, and make sure you are happy before you leave. I can send my kids in here to get a haircut, with a credit card, and they come back exactly as they are supposed to look within budget expected. Plus, when they sell me products I feel like it is specific to what I actually need. I recently got a haircut someplace else for convenience, regretted that decision, and will definitely be going back to them in the future.

My wife visited this salon extremely optimistic after looking over the reviews and the website. She was looking for a basic bleach root touch up and trim. She was recommended a color lift, which was supposed to be better for your hair than bleach, and unfortunately my wife agreed to let her do this. After 2 attempts of the color lift my wife's roots were orange and she was told they had to now bleach her hair. After 3 hours and 3 attempts, the salon was closed and my wife's roots were still orange. She had to go back on Saturday to get her hair bleach, again. This was the most expensive and the worst experience my wife has had at any salon.
