The winery is on the road and land that my ancestors settled when they emigrated to America from Germany. He was very knowledgeable about our family history and shared some cool memorabilia with .e whe i was there

Best wines in VA. The winemaker leaves the wine in barrel much longer than others and it shows.

My wife and I chose Hiddencroft as our first stop on our Northern Virginia wine country weekend adventures and the experience couldn't have started things off any better! The owners Clyde and Terry were so sweet and informative as we went through our tastings of the local varietals. All of the wines were delicious but we settled on bottles of the Petit Verdot and a Cab Franc Rose to share with our friends back home. It's a little more north in the wine region but we'll worth your time with all it's charm. Thanks again!

We’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. This is a quiet, low key winery in a rural setting. No bells and whistles here—no musicians or tour buses; it’s like enjoying a glass of wine in your neighbor’s backyard. The wines (red, white, fruit, and port-style) are consistently good. In the summer, the flowers by the tasting room are stunning, and on chilly days, there is a large fire pit with lots of seating on the patio or plenty of upstairs seating in the tasting room. Owners are very accommodating and happy to answer any questions. Highly recommend for a relaxing afternoon.

This has to one of, if not my favorite wineries to visit. The wine is great, prices are reasonable, and the setting is spectacular. It's a historic house that you can sit upstairs in different bedrooms that are converted to seating areas. You can take a walk to a little bridge and creek and see some nice cabin style outbuildings. It is a perfect setting for me and I recommend it.

Really nice Virginia wines. Good prices. Friendly owner. Trasting room is a quaint old farmhouse, and there are old buildings on the grounds, including a summer kitchen, a spring house, and a meat aging house. Plenty of places to sit inside and outside. A nice quiet place, perfect in COVID times when you don't want to be packed in around a lot of people.
