We spent three nights at Prospect Hill earlier this month and it was wonderful! Jim and "T" are very welcoming, as were Max and Gus Gus! The Inn and our room were spotlessly clean, the meals were absolutely delicious and the pool was beautiful clear and cool and clean so refreshing. We loved our stay and highly recommend Prospect Hill Inn!
Rooms: Clean, comfortable and well-appointed.
Food & drinks: Breakfasts were creative and delicious, and dinner was Huge! And, T makes a great cocktail in the bar.
Noteworthy details: The grounds surrounding the Inn are beautiful trees, flowers and fields.

We stayed here as a weekend getaway close to home. I think it was less than an hour from Richmond and maybe 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville . The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The beds are very comfortable, and the breakfast and coffee were great. The new owners completely redid the saltwater pool, and it is lovely. I think guests considering this inn should know, this is a former plantation which we didn’t realize from the online information but is on the sign at the entry.

We stayed in the Overseer’s cottage! So romantic and relaxing! The entire property is a delight with all the huge trees and nature trail. My husband had arranged with the owner to sprinkle rose petals, a fresh arrangement, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne! I felt like it was the perfect location for our date night!!
The breakfast was delicious!! The coffee was yummy. I highly recommend this Inn for a romantic getaway!!

From the moment we arrived, the owners and guests were very friendly.
Terenee "T" & Jim are very pleasant and kind host.
Every attention to detail was taken care of, and the smiles are genuine.
The house is like stepping back in time, and the grounds are immaculately kept.
There is a beautiful swimming pool that has been newly renovated and is saltwater versus chlorine, which is fabulous.
The atmosphere as a whole was very relaxing and delightful.
Jims culinary skills at breakfast were excellent every morning, and they paid very close attention to my allergies. I never had to remind them.
The staff is wonderful too.
Very kind and courteous.
I appreciate all the kindness and attention. It was a delightful and relaxing respite from the real world.
I look forward to returning in the future.
Oh, and they have their own special roast Prospect Hill blend coffee that is absolutely wonderful ?
My only regret is that I didn't get a picture of them on their front porch and of one of the four of us together.
Next time!
Rooms: Our room was very comfortable with a private shower.
Nearby activities: There are so many wineries in the area.

We had a wonderful experience! The staff was very nice and accommodating, everything was very clean, and the grounds were beautiful. The breakfast was a little fancy for us but the latte was amazing! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I had a wonderful extended stay-the grounds and the inn are lovely, beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Breakfast was delicious, our cottage very comfortable, and the resident dogs friendly and well behaved. Our stay at Prospect Inn was just what we needed and we hope to return !
Thank you Terenee and Jim!

Family 50th Anniversary Trip absolutely Amazing! Stayed in Overseer's Cottage, Uncle Guy's Cabin & Boy's Log Cabin, all were so comfortable and beautifully accommodated. Breakfast each morning was an absolute joy and so tasty! Grounds were so peaceful and beautiful for our family photos. The pool renovation was top-notch and very nice. Can't wait to go again!

What a wonderful find! We stayed in the Carriage House and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel like royalty. The attention to detail from the owners was exceptional and they went over and above to meet our every need. The topper was of course, to be sent off with a continental breakfast To Go on the morning of our early AM departure. Kudos. We would stay here again.
Rooms: A spacious accommodation and the bed was fantastic.
Food & drinks: Great Breakfast and a wine list.
Noteworthy details: The grounds are especially beautiful and pastoral.

Absolutely a place to come back. New owners are the best and although there is work to be done on this beautiful older property, hospitality, service, accomodations, breakfast and cottage house room were super.

This historic Inn is a bit off the beaten path, but its seclusion is part of the charm. The hostess, goes by "T", was as friendly, personable and interactive as could be. Greeted us on check-in with chocolate chip cookies (available all day) and lists of nearby things to do. The parlor is ample for friends to gather on a rainy day and on sunny days there are several sitting areas outside to relax with a bottle of wine (which we did). For those so inclined there is a nice walking trail.
Rooms: Rooms in the manor house are comfortable and romantic. Electric/gas Fireplace sets the mood. However, individual A/C units provide comfort if needed on a hot day. Windows provide plenty of daylight as well as views of the grounds.
Food & drinks: Breakfast (3 courses) on both days was wonderful. You have a choice of 12 juices, and the home-brewed (own blend) coffee is great. One really needs to be there Sunday morning for the brown-sugar, bourbon French Toast. I love French Toast, and this is by far the best of the best.
We opted for the Saturday night dinner (optional, added cost). The 5-course meal (appetizer, soup, salad, entree and dessert) was superb. Come hungry, although left overs can be boxed to go. In another life, Jim -co-owner and cook, would win awards as a master chef.

Only stayed one night passing through on our way to visit relatives in PA. Wished we would have stayed another night or week. Wonderfully quiet and beautiful property in the rolling hills outside of Charlottesville. T and Jim wonderful hosts. Undoubtedly going back in the future for a much longer stay.
