visiting the area from out of town, needed a few things. This Dollar General is the cleanest most organized store I've ever shopped!

An "okay" visit to the Dollar General in Louisa. On the positive side, I found something to meet what I was looking for -- a pair of baskets for storage on a shelf. The photo shows one of my new plastic large weave baskets (14" L x 11.5" W x 5.9" H) which were $5.50 each. Functional, washable, and of okay quality. They had three sizes for this particular product, as well as other choices (including higher-priced and attractive wicker). I also picked up a package of 8 Clover flour tortillas for under $2. (Be careful of expiration dates. Mine expire in a few days). *Store selection and layout. (Rating: 3/5). While some areas of the store were orderly, many of the aisles could be described as disheveled. Quite a few Items that we looked at were in locations that didn't match where the price UPC was. We also had to ask a clerk for a price check on an item that didn't have a price tag nor was it in the correct location. At the time of our visit, the store was having refrigeration issues, so some items were not available. *Convenience. (4). We live in a rural area, and need to drive roughly 45 minutes to any box stores, so having this and a few other Dollar Stores is a convenience for us for everyday items. [There are a few grocery stores closer in]. *Value. (2). Prices for non-food items were comparable to Walmarts or Target but of lower quality and, as mentioned, these retail choices are a further drive for us. Prices for food items were comparable or higher than the local Food Lion, which has a better selection. *Staff. (2). Limited interaction with staff. Two women were working at the check-out but they continued their conversation with each other during my check-out rather than engaging with me. One had earlier done a price check at the counter for me upon request.*Store location. (5). The store is in a strip mall on Louisa's Main Street. There is plentiful free parking.

Black hair girl who works there always seems to have an attitude everytime I shop. About to go in line and she goes on a smoke break!! SUCH A RUDE STAFF!! Everything is labeled wrong and she acts like I’m accusing her if I ask for a discount. Won’t be shopping there any longer unless she fixes her attitude towards the customers she is SUPPOSED TO HELP!

Store a shambles, credit/debit reader has been not working properly for months, bathroom broken for months. Can't fix things you have but putting in a self checkout? Corporate DG needs to spend some money in this store it is always busy.

The little girl named I believe is Destiny working the register was very sweet. She helped me out the whole time I was in the store. Due to my back I can’t reach high and she helped with gathering my needs and was very patient while we was working with the broken card reader. I always enjoy shopping here due to the wonderful employees and great deals!!

Dirty store with water in aisles and never clean. Prices are higher and customer service are good.
