Terrible customer service. I tried to get my passport book and card and the lady was wasting my time and trying to intimidate me. I misread the info on the passport application. And so she says that she can’t take my application even though it’s a 2 minute fix and then she goes off and tries to use big jargon to explain why she can’t do it. That’s an intimidation tactic for those of you that don’t know. And then she wasted like 10 minutes of the 15 minutes that I had with her trying to explain to me her schedule and all the work she has to do. I don’t care about that, why don’t you let me take 2 minutes to fill out the problem? And then the manager would not hear my sister’s complaint. She was trying to explain this to him but he would not hear. I am going to complain to everyone about this terrible service I have received.

Terrible communication on passport walk ins. Website says 10-11 walk ins on Saturday.
I showed up and was informed AT the desk they only take 3 per day and you MUST be lined up at 9:45am on Saturday.
That information is only on a single sheet of printer paper at the desk, after you wait in line just to be told to pound sand.

Humans have become slow robots, cant wait for robots to take over these jobs so we can get a decent service. Mean, slow and rude. The black lady and black guy in the front were so rude! Sorry dont mean to talk color but to describe them dont know name. They had no customers and still didnt take me in for passport appointment because I arrived 7 minutes after appointment time. Horrible service do not recommend! The white Supervisor guy spent 20 minutes explaining to us why he couldn’t take us because it would take (15 min ) of his time. He could’ve submitted our application with that time. Mind you we were still within appointments time

Appointment was at 11:00, we cane is 11:05am, he said you have to reschedule. Very mean, inconsiderate and rude service. Heartless humans. They saw us walking in with an infant and a 2 year old and they couldn’t care less.

They will either not pick up or just hang up on your if they don’t feel like talking lol. Very frustrating

This review is for passport services only. I visited the Lorton post office to apply for a passport. I arrived on time for my appointment, but the photo equipment was broken (which happens), so I had to go somewhere nearby to get my photos. That did not otherwise result in any delay in my application review and the solution was easy, so I didn't deduct any stars for that. It might be a problem for those trying to apply for a passport during walk-in hours, so I'd recommend coming with photos in hand just in case.
The postal worker was professional and patient and took great care to make sure the application and supporting documents were all present and correct. The worker clearly had had a lot of experience with the passport process and knew what to do to make sure the application made it through the State Department smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to go to this location for passport assistance again.

On the website, you can only do walk ins on Saturdays for passports. It’s an hour window. No problem. However, what they don’t list is that they only take 3 per Saturday. I arrived 10 minutes before the window and they said they already gave out “three tickets” for the day so they denied us. I was there with a 3 month old trying to get a passport and they made us leave before the time window ever started. That is not a walk in system at all.

I just went in for a change of address I try multiple time to try to make the verifying fee online which doesn’t work so I walk in instead to try to pay the fee and as I try to pay the fee waiting in line the bold head man kick me out just because I wanted to try to pay in person due to so many failed attempts online and remind you I was waiting in line didn’t even get close to the bold head man yet and he told all my business out loud just because I’m a young adult doesn’t mean you treat young ppl any different I hope he gets fired !!!
Also will be reporting this to the upper level post office people.
P.s fix yall website if y’all don’t want ppl coming in trying to handle business ??♀️

Helpful post office workers, for the most part the line at this location is never too long. Able to help answer shipping questions.

Dropped off a package inside the outgoing drop box and 3 days later tracking shows it still hasn't been accepted or processed

Passport renewal walk-in.PROS: The person that helped us was kind and knowledgeable. Quick service.CONS: Only 3 applicants accepted per day. Line starts well before 9am, 3 tickets handed out at 9:30am.

Bad post office. They don't even have a machine you can get a receipt for prepaid mail. Also, the slot wasn't big enough for my packages I was shipping out. Wouldn't go again.

First time here for initial PP appointment. It was through a review that made me drive all the way up here. It was very worth it! The lady who helped me was super nice and showed me how to fill stuff when I was unsure. Very efficient and friendly! Wish her all the best in life! :) it doesn’t take much to be nice.

My very first experience at this Post Office location. I have not experienced this type of friendly customer service anywhere in such a very very long time. From the time the establishment was opened at 9 by the Asian lady, she exhibited such friendliness, patience and above and beyond service. I was thoroughly impressed. It was worth the drive from Woodbridge to apply for a new passport and get some collector stamps. I'm grateful for the experience. Surpassed my expectations. My hats off to the dear lady.
