I been posting reviews for years but it saddens me to have to post this one.I've used Sears Airduct cleaning Services before. This time when tech came out he recounted my vents in. My home and told me I had 17 vents. I explained to him Know how many vents are in My home. That I had 14 vents but if he wanted to count the return I had 15. After he recounted he adjusted to price for 20 dollars extra as stated online. He then called me to my basement to tell me that my air coil cleaning and fan blower needed cleaning.I explained to him that I had just had my system installed and that there was no dust on my system. He wanted to show me pictures from another job that it was dirty. I gave him a look and asked him how much h3 said 975 dollars. On top of air duct cleaning. I said I don't need this cuz my system was brand new this Oct. That can you please just do the airduct cleaning. That Sears has never tried in past to add services I didn't want done.Tech told me he would not preform any work unless I agreed to pay the extra cost. I got upset and told him It was disappointing that he trying to up sell products I don't need and that this looks bad on Sears. He shrugged his shoulders and told me he was leaving.I called Sears and what they told me is they have no control over there techs and that they are independent.So I'm sad because I'm having to tell people to stay away from this company. After so many years. Later I found out that Sears brand was bought by another company so this is not actually Sears. So customers stay away. You have been warned.

Never use this service provider. We contracted for the installation of a gas fireplace. The technician showed up without all the materials need to install and told us someone would be out the next day to finish. No one showed up and we have been chasing them for a month to complete the install. We call at least once a week and we've never gotten a call back. Still chasing them.

Had an appointment for a 2 bedroom apartment unit this morning using the $100, up to 10 ducts promotional special.Tech came to the following conclusion in under 10 minutes:Tech looked at CLEAN filter and said the HVAC system and the unit was dirty/dusty because he touched the top of the unit (not inside the unit) and there was dust. He did not take unit apart to look at coils, compressor, air handler, etc.He quoted a price of $2200 to do a complete job he recommended.He submitted a discounted amount of $1800 to Sears, to which Sear sent an appointment confirmation.There's no evidence (i.e., photos) to substantiate the recommendation. I called. the customer care line to inquire about what exactly needed to be done. To which I was told, "We don't know what needs to be done. We just use the experts recommendation." I asked what services did the expert recommend. The response was "We don't know.Extremely unsatisfied with the service. Needless to say we did not use this service.

I confirmed my appointment for a morning slot 8 to 12. Waited all day to find out they screwed up and never scheduled me. Don't use them!! Wastes your time.

A $99 duct cleaning turned into $1889 duct cleaning and another $450 to repair my HVAC. Charged my credit card before service and in an amount not authorized. Gave me a second bill when service was supposedly completed. I don't know what happened to the original bill. Told me HVAC was running and working before they left. When they left realized it was not on and would not go on. Control said "system failure". Called within 20 minutes of when they left and would not return to fix the system. Supervisor said he would pay for a repair person that evening if I found one since I have respiratory problems and the air quality outside was code red. I found a repair person to come out but now they won't pay the over $400 to repair the system on an emergency basis.. What a fraud!!!!!

Paid for Air Duct Cleaning and UV Light System install that came with lifetime warranty on the UV Light bulbs. My UV Light is out and every time i try to call to have it replaced, Sears wants to charge me $150 for the replacement. They argue that the warranty is on the system and I explain to the that my contract CLEARLY says I paid for the UV Light Bulb to have a lifetime warranty. Needless to say, the lightbulb is out, and it is painstakingly tiring to even get someone on the phone to talk to that is not a call center agent that is merely redirecting calls to nowhere.

This was terreble experience! I dont know how these people are still in bussiness.I scheduled an appointment with them for may 30th, they did not show up, they did not call, inform or anything, just did not show up. I called them again and they came on june 6th. I asked the guy to put on shoe covers and he was rude about saying "show me first what I need to clean". I said put on you shoe covers so I can show you.I asked him to be carefull with my paint, because I recently painted the house, I helped him out with his bucket of water, but he did a sloppy job in my master bedroom, the dirt was still on my carpet.I asked him if he can cleane it again, he replied "You were crying about your paint and now you are crying about the carpet". I asked him to leave the house and I dont need your services anymore.They still charged me for all three rooms and when he only cleaned one room and that too very sloppy, see the pictures.They said it is a two step cleaning, first a solution and then pressure wash, there was no soltion and they did not spray anything. The guy took my credit card information before he does anything.If you use their service, DO NOT give them your credit card information until they're done. I was being nice and gave them my card information, and they charged me.I called them back about the charge, the Manager who said his name was Morrise, said they are not refunding me back, despite of me explaining everying then and they still stained my fresh paint.I am going to disputed the charge!Service: Carpet steam cleaning

NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE AWFUL PEOPLE AND IT"S THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVERY DEALT WITH. I am embarrassed to say that I even hired this company to work with! I had agreed on $289 for AC vent and dryer duct cleaning. The guy came and said the furnace needs to be cleaned and he gave an estimate of $1350 for the total job. I was negotiating and he dropped the price to $900. My asking price was $875. Without further communication he just left. When I called back the office people were also rude including their so called “Supervisor”, he said their guy had 5 other appointments before me and had a very bad day so he just left! He blamed me (customer) for negotiating the price! He was talking to me like I committed a crime by negotiating the price. I have hired so many contractors in the last twenty years and never ever had to go through such HORRIFIC experience.I went with the name SEARS, but these people are bringing bad name to the company or may be the company itself is so bad they closed most of their businesses!PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE OUTRAGEOUS PEOPLE!! THEY ARE SCAM!!

NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEY DO AWFUL WORK AND IT"S THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVERY DEALT WITH. I am embarrassed to say that I even hired this company to work with. 3 YEARS AGO I had someone come out and clean my air ducts. They talked me into installing UV lights to put on my HVAC units to keep them clean from mold. I called and scheduled multiple times to have someone come out to check they were still working. After not showing up, I scheduled with another HVAC company who found that the wiring Sears installed burnt up and burnt the insulation around my ducts (could of set my house on fire) *Silver lining, I have a lot of moisture in my crawl space*I have been in contact with them back and forth for almost 2 years now to get a full refund of my services that day and they are yet to resolve my issue. They stopped contacting me once I said I was not happy with the refund that they offered.

Throughout my life, I must have hired more than 10 companies to clean carpets and I can assure you that this was the worst of all.Original price was $120. At the moment of arrival to the house, the man told me that the house was very dirty and that he would charge me $250, since it would have to include a special treatment for animal urine and heavy soil. Well this never happened. He did a general cleaning, using the two-hose machine and nothing else. The corners and edges of the carpet were never cleaned. Pet urine stains from previous owners are still in the house. The worker did not bother at all to go over those stronger stains and every time I asked him his answer was: It is permanent. They did not use a machine with a brush to wash, but the flat machine with the two hoses and that's it. This is the worst I've ever seen!

STAY AWAY! WASTE OF TIMEI scheduled my duct cleaning for a Tuesday, Sears changed my appointment date to Thursday. On the day they were meant to show up, the technician called me and said I couldn't get the $99 special and it was going to be at least $1,400. After that he didn't show up. Sears said they would send a new technician on Friday. They were a no-show too. When they finally showed up on Saturday, the technician inspected the system, said he was going outside to "call the office" and then disappeared. I did not hear from them after that. USELESS. A COMPLETE AND UTTER WASTE OF TIME!
