My car had failed stare inspection for a wheel bearing. Kurt was able to get in and out fairly quickly but he also recommended for him to see why it was running rough. I was aware of the issue but said screw it you're already working on it go for it. He found out a fuel injector wire was frayed and needed to be spliced and repaired. He did so and now my vehicle (1994 Landcruiser) runs better than ever! Definitely recommend Kurt if you're in the area. It'll be a long wait wait, but he's a one man operation. Very honest and reliable.

I've been a customer of Kurts Auto since 1998. You will not find a more honest, hard working, reliable, and knowledgeable mechanic anywhere. Other mechanics ask him for advice! Honest mechanics working for most facilities are typically pressured to "add on" costs / work. Yes, he is a sole proprietor, concerned about all the work done there, whether by himself or a co-mechanic. And as sole proprietor, scheduling and day to day running of a business for over 25 years can get crazy sometimes, but the results speak for themselves. He doesn't do the "while-you-wait" vehicle repairs or maintenance, but you can count on a job done right.

I try to take the best care of my vehicles as possible. Kurt loves what he does and is very knowledgeable on Subaru and Toyotas (I am sure others as well).I am very hesitant to trust someone with working on a car I paid for. But Kurt is great and will answer any questions or concerns you have. He is straight forward and honest.Nothing but good things to say.Service: Auto maintenance

Kurt is the mechanic you want to go to. I was passing through town while my power steering went out and fluid started to spew. It was very hard to find a part but he went out of his way to get it for me by the end of the day. He even stayed after his normal work hours to ensure my truck was safe to get back on the road. Thank you so much for saving me from a possible nightmare!

I have never had such a positive auto repair experience! Kurt was a God send. We were passing through the area when our car broke down. Kurt is a master professional at what he does. He has worked on two of our cars over the past several years for different issues. Kurt is very knowledgeable when it comes to cars and explains everything very clearly regarding what he has done or what needs to get done. He is a very honest mechanic and has saved us a ton on money compared to other big name businesses that try to typically maximize their sales. He is normally working by himself so the turnaround time is a bit slower but if you are not in a rush to get your car back, I would 100% recommend anyone give Kurt a try next time they have any car issues. You won’t find a better mechanic with better prices in northern VA - I guarantee it.

Great mechanic. Takes the time necessary to ensure repairs are done correctly. Trust Kurt with my daughter's car while she is away at college. Explains to her how to check engine and accessory systems for basic car maintenance. A pro!

Kurt is a very knowledgeable mechanic who will always ensure that you know exactly why he recommends any work on your car. I have never felt cheated, his prices are excellent. I go here any time my car needs work!
