This was the worst experience I've had - the communication with Gerald was beyond terrible. It was a series of trying to get in touch with him, and trusting his promises while he continued to disappear and be unresponsive for 2-3 weeks at a time. Initially, he told me that he expected to wrap up my return within a week because he was going on a trip. At the end of that week, we set up a call where I found out he hadn't even looked at the documents. He said he'd be done by the end of That week...I followed up with him again and he simply sent me a document with a price, but without following up on the items we had discussed over the phone. For the next 3 weeks, I couldn't reach him for clarification because he was "busy with clients", and then he sent one short email telling me he wasn't sure if we should do my other year's return, but with no opportunity to discuss. He then went on an overseas trip for 3 weeks without notice. 2 weeks later, after more follow-ups, we had a phone call where I told him how unacceptable this communication was and the confusing timelines/expectations. A full two months after our initial "one week" timeline, I finally received the returns but was too worn out to review them with him anymore. I emailed him to ask about a missing state return, and never heard from him again. Nightmare.

I reached out to Mr. Omari roughly one month before my 2020 taxes were due because I had a difficult tax situation that I needed help navigating. He told me that he was with a client at the moment, but would be happy to work with me and would return my call the following morning. After three days, he hadn’t called back, so I followed up with him via telephone. He again agreed to work with me and said that he would send me a Dropbox link via email so that I could upload my relevant tax documents for his review, after which he would complete my return. After one week, I had yet to receive anything from him. Again, I followed up, this time via email, and he then responded with the Dropbox link. I immediately uploaded all of my relevant documents and notified him, to which I did not receive a response. Weeks went by without any contact from him, and the tax season deadline was quickly approaching. I reached out to him again and asked if he was still able to help. He completely ignored me, and to this day, has not returned any of my calls or emails, leaving me entirely on my own to manage my complicated tax situation; days before the deadline. I would absolutely not recommend using Mr. Omari’s services.

Gerald Omari is outstanding!!! My previous accountant retired, and I had the worst luck finding another accountant. Then I googled for another CPA and found Gerald Omari. He is very patient, understanding, willing to go above and beyond time constraints to help his customers, and he’s very cordial, which is a godsend in the DC beltway area.

After I moved to VA, I was looking for CPA or Tax preparers and I contacted Gerald. He has been really great ever since. Above and beyond! I was very impressed with his knowledge and service every single time! Mine was very complicated with a new house, new business on top of my full time federal job and military reserve. Also, I have been paying for employment legal fees for years now until my case is completed. He did take his time to explain every single thing I did not know of before. He did educate me a lot with tax laws! He also tries to maximize my deductions legally. I forgot to report and deduct some items and had to get my 2018 tax amended, and Gerald was great and took care of it with his great service as always. Also, he worked around my time and did my tax even in the evening as that was the only time I was availble. He even did some more research on exceptions for military reservist with new tax laws and didn't take time to contact me to provide that and also he was going to add that deduction. I was really grateful and impressed. I am relocating to overseas soon for my federal job, and will be gone minimum 3 years and maximum 5 years and I know Gerald will take care of all my tax until and after I come back to VA! I highly recommend him to those who need tax preparation service.

He is the Best!!!! I was growing frustrated with the quality of service I was receiving from a national brand Tax Preparation company my parents and I had been using over the years. Last year when they prepared my taxes and said I was only getting $146 back and charged me $489, I decided to get a second opinion. I came to Gerald Omari, CPA. He was attentive and very thorough and helped me identify various deductions I had forgotten about. I came out much happier. This year I was especially grateful for the invaluable advice he shared with me on setting up an S Corp for my Contracting business, how to handle changes with my retirement and getting a better handle on our growing real estate rental business. Of only great is he at Tax Preparation, he is a solid Small business Accountant and great at providing sound financial advice.

This is the second year I have had my taxes prepared by Gerald Omari. This year was complex due to the new tax rules, but Gerald took his time explaining everything to me. He is always very professional and takes his time with each client. I will continue to come to him and he is a trusted and professional CPA.

When, calling to inquire about my tax help. Mr. Omar was very vague and not helpful with my tax situation. I requested a quote for the tax filling price, and he did not give me a quote at all. I was simply told that it could be any price. Not, sure if he is just about the money, or actually helping people to file their taxes successfully. Needless to say, I chose another tax accountant to handle my business taxes. My new tax guy was very transparent and clear on all aspects of the filing process.

Gerald Omari has provided Tax preparation services for me since 2008. Professionally he is SOLID - highly knowledgeable about taxes, extremely detailed and thorough, and gives sound advice. For someone so competent and professional, he is refreshingly personable and a pleasure to work with. He explains clearly what he is doing, why he's doing it, and the outcome or expected outcome of doing it. I have used him for my tax filings since 2008 and will use him for as long as I have to file taxes. I recommend him without reservation.

I really do appreciate the time and the great patience Mr. Omari took to explain thing to me while he was preparing my taxes. The first time I met him, I was amazed with his level of experience and knowledge concerning taxes. And he communicate with me every step of the way. This is my 3rd year of using himm and I am very satisfied. I have also tapped on his brain for other financial advice and he was terrific.

I would recommend Gerald for doing your taxes. He answered all my questions and did a good, professional job with my taxes. This is the second year I came back to his business.
