Took our boat in because the outboard motor wouldn't run properly after most recent winterization. These clowns had it for a month charged us $1000+ in various parts and services then finally told us it was ready for pickup. We launched it in the water the day we picked it up only to make it 100 yards from the dock before it stalled and would not start. We had to get towed back to the dock. I came to their shop the next day and expressed my displeasure. They said they would "make it right". Gave them the boat back for another week and now they want another 1000 dollars to disassemble and clean the carburetor. I am not a professional mechanic but i know enough to START with the carburetor when there is an obvious fuel problem.I will be picking up my boat from them and warning the local boating community about the incompetence and lack of copiability this "business" routinely exhibits. I wish i would have asked around first because this reputation is known amongst long time residents of the area.Special shout out to Lee for helping to insure we won't have a working boat this summer!

We recently purchased a 10 year old boat sight unseen from Lake of the Woods Marina. We are very happy with the boat. This company did a very good job facilitating our paid boat surveyor to inspect the boat and then they set up a flawless out of state delivery. They even took care of a minor problem they noticed as they were prepping the boat for transit but did not have to take care of. Thank you to Lake of the Woods for taking good care of us!

Had an amazing experience working with the team at Lake of the Woods. They took care of a minor repair on our pontoon timely and the price was very fair.

From first contact through well after point of sale - Lee and Ashley were there to answer all our questions as a first time boat buyers. Lee was incredibly knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our purchase. We had a small issue for repair at no fault of LOW and it was taken care of immediately. Enjoyed working with LOW Marine and very happy with our purchase!

Unfortunately I have to move on. Don’t stand behind work, promises unkept, rude, and a few other things coming from a reasonable person, me.

We researched and shopped for a top of the line Tri-toon for two years. After several boat shows and visits to Lake of the Woods Marine &Services we decided to purchase a luxury Tri-toon from them. This was a horrible mistake. We have owned boats to include pontoons for over 20 years so we had a good idea of which boat we wanted when we went in. To be honest, Sylvan was not the first on our list of quality Tri-toons, but they were the only dealership in the local area and we decided we could live with the shortcomings of the brand as long as there was a reputable local dealership to service our boat. The "salesperson" at Lake of the Woods was incredibly incompetent when it came to explaining the features on the boat we were looking at, come to find out, he is the son of the owners, so not a lot of incentive to be competent there. I did extensive research on my own (over a year) and negotiated the exact features we wanted on the boat. We completed the deal and when we took delivery, the salesperson was completely ignorant of how to work the features of the boat he just hyped to us. Long story short, he eventually said "your boat is not compatible with the features you purchased" In other words, we sold you a boat that can't work with the features we sold you. I have contacted corporate headquarters and they attempted to help by pawning me off to another dealer (100 miles away) that dealer has tried to assist but unless I take my new $80,000 boat to them and pay them to fix the problem I'm screwed. STAY AWAY from SMOKERCRAFT , SYLVAN and specifically Lake of the Woods Marine! Sorry, I couldn't go less than one star!

Not very good with social skills. Very rude. Would not ever recommend. Not the brightest either.

The team at Lake of the Woods Marine & Service Plaza was amazing to work with. We purchased a used pontoon boat from them and were very pleased. They were very upfront about the condition of the boat and sent us additional pictures prior to driving up there to take a look. They went over all the aspects of the boat and explained to my wife lots of great information. The trailer we brought to pick the boat up was not in the best shape. They went above and beyond what others would have done. They replaced a few bunks that were sub-par, check the tire pressures, checked lights and made sure the boat was going to be safe for my wife to transport back to Richmond. Highly recommend working with this company! We will now be using them for all of our future needs!

Went to inquire about used boats and drove through the parking lot to look around while I finished lunch. I was "greeted" by a dour looking man who treated me as if I'd broken 6 federal laws by taking a look around. I'm sure there are friendlier places to do business. Too bad though, as I live right across the street.

Took our boat to Lake of the Woods Marine for winterization and service mainly because of their convenient location right outside the front gate of our lake community. The boat was delivered to the owner with both the cockpit and bow covers in place. The boat was returned with the cockpit cover missing and the upholstery in the boat sopping wet from recent rains. I was told I was mistaken and that the boat was delivered without the cockpit cover. The bow cover was in place and the extension pole for the cockpit cover was resting on the seat. The worker who brought the boat to the front explained the cover must be in one of the seat wells. It was not. It's a "he said / she said" situation. Recommend take and record inventory of everything you leave on your boat if you use this business. I'll be looking elsewhere
