“After a recent move our dogs had access to our oriental rugs. They decided they were the perfect place for accidents!Shaia washed our rugs making them look and smell like new.Very professional and friendly service.”
“This is one of those antique malls where there are a bunch of different vendors, some of which are just locked cases. One thing I really liked about the store is that they give you a little map so that you can circle where you see things you like. They also have buttons on every row so you can call unattended over. Everyone is very friendly. The bathrooms were clean. And the attendants were attentive. It's also one of those antique bones where a lot of people think that just because something is old means that they can charge new prices for it. We heard several other patrons also laughing about some of the ridiculous pricing. But it was fun to walk around and look at stuff.”
“I built a faux fireplace and wanted to finish it with a nice mantle. So I went to American Vintage. The people were nice, helpful, and very knowledgeable about what type of wood would work best. They can cut the wood as well. I had them cut my corbels as I didn't have the right saw to do it. My wife LOVES the mantle. I love the mantle. It ties the entire living room together! Thank you American Vintage! The wood in this photo is Black Walnut. ?”
“I was lucky to stumble upon this eclectic and unique antique "shops" while visiting Toano/Williamsburg! You can't miss the humongous yellow chair and the quirky metal rooster on the front lawn! There are at least 4 buildings: the main building, the "she shed", another small building, and the big barn down the trail! The barn is full of bigger furniture and architectural items as well as traffic lights and metal sculptures and salvage stuff & fixtures. The smaller buildings have garden items (I found a big terra cotta planter that I purchased) and statues. One outbuilding housed some lovely art deco pieces, vintage hats and purses, wing chairs, perfume bottles, and even an antique typewriter. The cute little she shed had kitchenware, vintage aprons, old utensils, some wooden chairs, a tiny table and a few other cool pieces (I bought a cute white deco bookcase from this area). The main building is full of antique furniture, dining sets, china and crystal, tea things, pictures, lamps, mirrors, rugs, jewelry, and even some homemade crafts. I was in "junking" heaven. The owner was super nice and gave me a deal on my finds. With Yelp I also got 10% off my purchase. Even the pristine restroom was decorated with things for sale, linens, signage, washboards, etc! If you're feeling lucky, don't pass up this awesome shopper's paradise!”
“This place is the nicest place for Asian antiques. The knowledge by the owner and the items are simply exquisite. I have passed by this business for many years and decided to see it. Best hidden gem in the area.”
“We like going in and looking around. For a kid it is almost like a museum, Antiques. Didn't find anything this time but who knows what I will find when I go in next time.”
“Whenever we take day trips to Williamsburg, this is a priority store. Do check his hours though as they are not open 7 days a week. We have left there on a few trips with purchases more than a Mortgage payment :) Their prices are fair and we are definitely eying things for future visits if they are still there. He has a very cool antique dental cabinet but it is $12,500. That is an unusual price for their shop. But that being said, it is a very unusual and rare piece! All different prices here. It is not a museum so you can buy something....or more!”
