Love that there are seasonal youth programs for our toddlers in the community. However was taken aback this year when enrolling the kids in fall soccer and seeing that on top of the $100/toddler, there was a newly added, required jersey purchase per child, at $20 EA plus handling, plus tax, PLUS shipping. It adds up quickly especially if you have multiples. Last year, our toddler did soccer, had a great time, and the simple cotton T shirts were included - of course parents provided additonal accessories and their own ball(s). It just feels that everything this year was outsourced to a contractor/company (Augusta Sportswear), hence why enrollment seems much lower than last time at this same time. The web process also was confusing and took you to a separate site after paying for the program, to have to pay for the "required" jerseys. I mean toddlers....they can just wear a colored cotton T for team colors or simple Gildan tops ordered off Amazon or Etsy for far less when ordering for groups...heck, there's a great small business in town that does tees - his work is great! Not knocking the program but, I think this jersey thing should be thought about a bit further and from the perspective of parents/toddlers they are serving. This YMCA should be part of the heart of the community....Last year had almost no spots left (lots of kids joined!) and it was so fun. A few parents were also disappointed with this jersey issue, as they didnt expect the additional surprise costs. We went ahead because the littles already were excited... but this will probably prevent us from considering future seasons in Rockbridge YMCA for the time-being...everything today is becoming a nickel/dime process, and it is sad to now see it happening in a small, lovely community too. The whole process just felt like when you are forced to "tip" at every register these days a stark contrast from last year and our first year in our new town with our kiddos.

For the Lexington area it's a decent facility. Recent floor plan changes have helped to make it feel more open. However compared to other YMCA's in the region it's lacking in amenities. Clean building and approachable staff.

The director, Gwen Whitmore, and staff at the Rockbridge Early Learning Center do an exceedingly outstanding job at ensuring the children attending here are reaching their highest potential and prepared for the next steps in their life and educational journey.

❤️ coming to the Y! It is an asset to our community & especially to people who are in their recovery journeys from knee, hip, back, other surgeries or procedures!

A nice little gym. It doesn't look like much from outside, but it met my needs. It's the smallest YMCA that I've used, but the people and equipment were nice, and I got great workouts.

Dirty, dark, and not worth the price. Was shocked this was considered a YMCA.
