It’s impossible to talk or meet with a banker at the brick and mortar Wells Fargo in Lexington Virginia. As a customer you get the runaround and are told to call the 800 number if you want any information on your CDs or your bank account. After calling the national 800 number, waiting for an hour to be connected, I was subsequently told I had to have the local branch take care of it. Calling them back I was told I had to come in in person, even though I told them I was not in town for the next four months. so, basically, I got the runaround from corporate and local branch and no resolution to my problem and no one was able to give me any information on my account or penalties for withdrawal early on CD. One would think Wells Fargo would be trying a little harder with customer service and their image from past problems they’ve had , but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I would not recommend this bank.

Bothering employees and customers of neighboring business for using their parking. They have two parking lots to themselves, one being for customers. They have been leaving notes on peoples cars, extremely rude when talking to people in their lot, and taking photos of peoples cars. I understand it’s their lots, but people have parked there for years and only now it’s a problem.

Absolutely awesome customer service! Opened new account had a few difficulties with my phone and digital wallet and it was all hands on deck. As a team, they got together and got me squared away with diligence! My best banking experience ever.. 100% truth.

Wanted to open a new account yesterday. Called and after picking from your menu - about 3 or 4 different ones), at least 5 minutes of my time, I got a message that due to Covid there were longer waits, etc. etc. and then my phone call was cut off. Went down the street to a competitor who answered right away and was more than happy to help me.

I have been calling the bank, being put on hold, and repeat for 4 hours now and the lines are still “busy”. No way in hell. Never had a problem until now but this is unsatisfactory and highly upsetting.

Has a local hometown feel but a larger known bank. The employees were helpful and friendly. I did not have any issues with them in terms of a basic checking account. They use your card as means of doing anything with a teller which is nice since most people don’t memorize their account number and don’t like sharing their social out loud or even writing it on a scrap of paper.

I have been using this bank for years 2006 to be exact for a family member that is no longer able to manage things herself, I manage everything for this person. Over the years I have had to provide a POA for managing my family members information. About every 2 years I run into an issue where they claim to not have it on file, I explained that I have turned one in every year since 2006, faxed to corporate on many occasions and hand delivered on others. After calling into the branch manager Edgar Freeman, listened to the issue and his exact words after my explanation where I was babbling, really coming from a guy who has made my family spend hundreds on POA's that the institution is supposed to keep safely on file. This guy needs a serious reevaluation as this type of correspondence is not necessary and very unprofessional. A branch manager, very disappointed. Customers make your business and give your employees an opportunity, when you treat customers bad you get reviewed and potentially lose business due to your actions. EDIT: Called back to get more details on the problem only to be hung up on by the assistant Nancy McCormick these people have serious customer service issues. A very small town bank that has no common sense when it comes to doing things right. Hang up on the people who employ you isn't the best of ideas, this lady needs to be reevaluated, you cant be a CS agent and hang up on your customers if you do, you get reviewed. Spoke to corporate and they have had the POA on file the whole time and sent it to the location, they mislead the account owner and told her she had to come in and change her account info or they were going to close the account. She was in tears with all this confusion. Nice work Wells Fargo Lexington, not to mention now I am locked out of paying her bills, you will be the ones dealing with this...Worst banking experience ever!

Great customer service! Edgar, the bank manager is really nice and helpful. And Sarah, a banker, is great at actually listening instead of selling me things I don't need.
