A charming, upscale hotel in the heart of quaint Lexington VA. The staff was welcoming and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and accommodating for food allergies, the rooms were space and with high end features (we were in the newly renovated Livery building- heated floors, towel warmers, plush mattress, comfy pillows). The town of Lexington is fun to explore and there is a lot of outdoor activities within walking distance or a short drive.

I took some time off with my wife and we stayed one night at this hotel. We had a very nice evening, the dinner was super delicious and above all the cost was very low compared to other hotels here in the city. The truth is that it is a place that I will highly recommend to my family and friends! Good place for a romantic dinner or a romantic getaway.

Wow! When you find a that perfect accommodation, with exceptional service, and exceptional bites, surrounded by a beautiful city of historical charm, you simply say Wow!I had the lovely stay experiencing of the beauty of The Georges. A Boutique Inn in the heart of Lexington, Va. The property consists of guest rooms that have been restored to elegant charm of your finest 5 star. No detail left untouched. The team have such love for the property and it shows. Right on main street with easy private parking and complimentary delicious table served breakfast, its a luxurious escape you cant afford to miss. Price a bit higher than surrounding options, but well worth the cost of the full pampering and safe, clean, luxurious accommodations. Im just amazed at the quality, and applaud the detail.Amen to this beautiful charming escape Lexington, Va has to offer in the beautiful downtown of pure historical holiday magic. You step out the front door to unique shops, cafes, restaurants, and glorious architecture. Did I remember to say , WOW? . Oh WOW!This previous Inn Keeper who strove “only for the best for our guests” has found being the guest sometimes is pretty nice. :-) ShannonRooms: Gorgeous! Luxurious! Clean! Detail spectacular.Walkability: Heart of downtown right on main street. Step out the door to cafes shoping and historical wandering.Food & drinks: We dined at TAPS an onsite restaurant that is pub style with delicious options at affordable prices. Full bar.Noteworthy details: Five star details and luxury in every unique room.

The Georges Hotel is a real jewel in the heart of Lexington. We were impressed when we walked into our room; not only was it spotless, but beautifully decorated as well. Someone with an unusual talent for interior design clearly put a lot of thought into this place -- it is stunning, comfortable, gracious and understated.Later, we met John the manager in the restaurant (TAPS). He was very kind and sat down with us and suggested things on the menu. John has an interesting background in hospitality and The Georges is fortunate to have him. Thanks for making our stay a memorable one.

Very nice room and very nice people, but the fact they were renovating the hotel and allowing construction to last until 12 midnight made for a brutal experience. Please respect your guests and do not allow construction to hammer constantly all throughout the night.

One of our favorite hotels! All the rooms are tastefully decorated, great bedding and amenities. Taps is always fun and a great place to run in to people you know!! Breakfast is great. Great service and great food from morning to night!

We stayed here for a W&L weekend and the rooms were absolutely stunning! The interior decoration was gorgeous colors and style! The bathrooms had a nice tub and private shower. The floors are heated and there is a towel heater as well. The breakfast that comes with the stay were very good. Their eggs and homemade sausage and jam were very good and the granola was some of the best! The bar Taps makes specialty cocktails and has a very lively nightlife. Also, we had lunch there and it was good. I had a power bowl with salmon and they have a good beer and wine selection. Even though we had to change rooms 2 times due to a leak, it was a perfect stay and the staff was very accommodating and we got to see 3 beautiful rooms!

The staff is incredible! They will do anything and everything they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. My wife loves the soap/shampoo provided. My only regret is I didn’t buy the chocolate that was in the room when we checked in – it was delicious!

We enjoyed our perfect room! The bed was comfortable and the thermostats allowed us to make the room as cool as we liked. Having a fan was also a plus. The bathroom was great. We would not hesitate letting others know that if you have a chance to visit this neat city to make sure you check out The George.

Wonderfully designed and generously proportioned room The breakfast, especially the sausage was outstanding, the service very friendly. The bedding was very comfortable and the bathrooms very well appointed. The TV was difficult to navigate. We just wanted to watch Sunday night football, but no luck with smart TV that requires app to watch. Lovely place.
