My husband and I just got back from a wonderful midweek stay at the Inn at Brierley Hill. We loved everything about this place, especially the delicious breakfasts out on the veranda, the beautiful views, our cozy fireplace, and the comfortable bed. Since returning home we have already ordered the same soft bedding and great pillows! We must also commend the new innkeepers, John and Heather, for their great communication, easy check in, and most of all, their kind, friendly hospitality. Our every need was anticipated, and we felt supremely pampered. We look forward to our next stay!
Rooms: Large rooms with quality furnishings and great, tranquil views.
Nearby activities: Lots to do nearby, including Natural Bridge State Park, scenic drives, and lovely hiking trails.
Food & drinks: Breakfasts at Brierley Hill were generous and delicious. We also enjoyed great dinners at The Palms and Salerno Wood-Fired Pizza and Taphouse in Lexington.

My husband, Matt, and I just got back from a lovely weekend at Brierley Hill. Wow, what a hidden gem. We loved everything about this place. From the seamless check in/check out process, delicious breakfast, beautiful views, soft linens, and comfortable beds. A tranquil welcoming retreat. We look forward to staying here again soon. Look no further than Brierley Hill if you are looking for quaint, comfort and relaxation.

Really friendly people in a lovely relaxing place. Would highly recommend stopping here. Great location to venture from around Virginia. The town is small but lovely.

Inn at Brierly is a lovely B&B. The location is great. The room was impeccable. The views are fantastic. Perfect for a quiet getaway or a romantic weekend. The innkeepers are very friendly and helpful!

Rooms: The rooms were very nice and well adorned. We enjoyed the Blue Ridge Suite.Nearby activities: Lexington is very close. It was fun to experience VMI and Washington & Lee, as well as the local history.Food & drinks: Julie and John did an amazing job with wonderful breakfasts each morning.

We stayed at Brierly Inn last November, 2023 for our 25th anniversary. It was very delightful!Our host, Julie was wonderful! The inn was spotless, the view was spectacular, and the ambiance was romantic. We enjoyed our breakfast, while listening to Josh Groban. The food was delicious! We can't wait to return! Top notch!!

We stayed here in Feb 2022 and it was wonderful. We attempted to come back for 2024 but ran into a customer service problem with the new owners. We received an email Nov 24,2023 stating there was new ownership and to call to update our card on file. No where in the email did it say they were charging the balance due for preexisting reservations. Unless associated with a busy weekend for the college, the previous owners policy was balance due 14-days before check in.The woman I spoke to said they were going to charge my card. I stopped her because we are literally closing on a house next week and didn't budget to have this come out right now. She argued with me about the previous owners policy and stated she didn't understand why I wasn't already charged when I have it in an email what the policy wass and we were past guests. I told her their email didn't state anything about the balance being due for our reservation and I wanted to cancel. She said I wouldn't get money back because the previous owner transferred my deposit as a Gift Card when we rescheduled due a death in my family. I have all the emails showing this trail of events. I again stated that their email didn't say the deposit was due and who gives people 1-week notice on that during the holidays. This woman is wretched and I can't imagine what's going to happen to this place.

Brierley Hill is our GO-TO B&B in Lexington. I schedule my visits to VMI around their availability. I won't go anywhere else. Barb and Vokkel are the best. Very accommodating, warm and make you feel like family. I've recommended them to others who have stayed and they have the same reaction.Joe

Beautiful scenery, cozy rooms, and super friendly owners :)Rooms: The nook, in the kitchen was very cozy. You don’t see those very often, it seems, anymore. The shower was absolutely amazing! Spacious and beautiful tiles. Bathrobes available too. Loved the in-room fireplace, outdoor fire-pit and outdoor jacuzzi, as well. Just, overall, perfect room and couldn’t have asked for a more romantic and amazing room and stay.Safety: I felt incredibly safe here.Walkability: It’s easy to walk around, from the room to dining area. Plenty of parking too.Food & drinks: Delicious breakfast! It was a specialty dish and absolutely amazing! Service was great :) snacks were good too.Noteworthy details: Stunning views, with a luxurious and classy feel, yet cozy and homey. Super friendly owners and amazing breakfast!! Dinner bites were provided too, like little snacks. Have booked another stay and have made plans to go back!

This was an anniversary getaway. Had never been to the area or the Brierley before. Definitely will go back again! By far the nicest, friendliest, cleanest, most comfortable place we've stayed! Barbara and Volker take care of any needs you have or thought you needed! So many nice touches, hot tub, fire pit, excellent 3 course breakfast using several family recipes, the accommodations are top of the line. And then, having the mountains right in front of you just takes it to another level! We highly recommend the Brierley for any getaway vacation you're looking for. The only negative was that we didn't stay long enough!!!!
